KeyWord Planner got updated? (worthless now?)

So I use keyword planner to see how many searches a keyword gets. Now it just gives very broad estimates. Any help?

It might be more detailed if I set up a campaign. How do I setup the most cheap one?

just add the minimum in adwords, start a campaign (or even pause it) and you should see numbers as normal

Looks like just a minor tweak to push people to actually sign up for (minimal) campaigns

It's still useful

Can you guys please show how to setup the minimum in campaign/adword? I have no idea how as I only used the keyword planner. Do I actually need to spend money to use it? im broke
