I've been using keyapp.top to get some new apps installs. My plan was to start with package ID installs as the app doesnt rank for anything. When I noticed that my app started ranking for "My App Name - My Keyword" (which I was at rank 1 for) I switched my campaign so that I started to get installs for this opposed to getting installs for the packages ID. For me this looks more natural, no?

However keyapp support sent me an email saying that as I already rank 1 for that keyword I was wasting my time and I should switch to package ID installs.. For me this makes no sense (though I am just getting started in the app stuff).

Am I just being stupid here or is the advice from keyapp correct?

keyapptop or some other cpi installs, comments are mainly waste of time and do not effect your rankings positively

It depends what are your goals for such campaign
If you want to become visible for your targeted keywords - you may keep driving the keyword installs to the "My App Name - My Keyword" because in a such way you would become visible faster for "My Keyword" as its included in your campaign
If you want to gain the organic installs from the keyword rankings - you should launch keyword installs on popular keywords rather than your brand keyword, but at first you'd need to perform the research to find which keywords exactly and in what countries would be able to bring you the decent amount of organic installs after you become ranked Top1-10 for them

Thanks for the reply. This is exactly what I was thinking. I was kinda confused that I was advised to go for package installs instead. Made no sense.
