Keyword discrepancy question

Hi guys,

I have been using a piece of well known, paid keyword research software. I have noticed that the data it produces is often wildly different than that of G's free KW tool. The software I am using requires me to give it my adword log in details in order for it to work. Surely the data should be the same from both.

Would be grateful to know what's going on here.

It's probably seeding your keywords with other extensions or pulling more out using a deeper tree search, by requestioning many of the returned terms to get more ideas. I'm assuming that you're getting more, and not less results!

Hello mate,

The paid software is getting more results of course, it's just when i feed the same data to G's KW tool, its telling me KW is high competition, whereas the paod software is saying it's low. Who to believe :p

remember Google trends. Google's keyword tool offers adwords data, not Seo. If you want to contrast the data from your tool, don't forget to visit it!!!!

Maybe you are mixing up SEO and Adwords competition?
GKT shows Adwords Competition
Maybe your Keyword Tool shows SEO competition?

Maybe your software combine multiple source of research tool as well as their own to deliver more accurate result. I think they don't get well known over nothing.
