Can anyone recommend a Good keyword difficulty estimation tool.

Preferably one that can filter by country. example Google.co.uk

I have always used Moz for this... but I closed my account. Anyone have any alternative suggestion?
I know I can do it manually... but I want to look at every attribute in fast fashion

i have used many keyword difficulty tools but they all have limitations. In the end i mostly check competitiveness manually.

1) number of competitors - quantity

search "allintitle: keyword phrase" in google. lower the number of results for the above query the better.

Less than 500 is very easy
between 500-1000 is easy
between 1000-3000 is medium
over 3000-5000 is hard
over 5000 is very hard

2) strength of first page - quality

search for the keyword phrase in google and analyse the SERPs

a) how many brands and authority sites on the first page - lower the better
b) how many homepages ranking on the first page - lower the better

Then i check backlink profile of each of the top 10 results to find the average number of editorial links they have. this is difficult to guage but i do not enter enter any niche where the top 10 competitors have on average over 10 editorial links. These links are very hard to obtain and cannot be substituted by normal PBNs.

Why do you not go with Google Adwords,When you operate it,you can learn everything easily.

Adwords is best and easy tool mate

You can use Long Tail Pro to give a top 10 summary of keywords, although I find it very slow. The free Moz bar extension is quite useful for a quick glance at DA/PA, plus it also lets you export the results to CSV file.

Find the keywords through AdWords, Assess the results manually (check through link profile, metrics etc.) . I don't trust LTP or online assessors, as they can't assess everything properly .

Manual assessment is well worth it before you invest in ranking a website. Heres a simple process.

See how many results show for each keyword.
Analyze the cost per click for profitability and look if there's any ad spaces.
Download the seo quake tool bar and scan the top 10 results.

Common sense can tell you more about keywords than a tool.

Great tips buddy, thanks for sharing!

Usually I go for a combo of IBP keyword tool + SEOprofiler/Adhrefs

Another GREAT tool I would recommend is serped.net
It's a combination of all the best SEO tools put in one convenient place

Try Keywordrevealer, I've always liked it and I think it is from a member here. Also has a free edition that works nicely.

Adword tool is best to go for keyword difficulty and it's also easy to learn quickly.
