Keyword Difficulty & Domain Names

Hi all, I've been looking for a brandable domain name and I think I have found one that I'm happy with.

However, when I put the keywords of the domain into KW Finder it has a keyword difficulty of 28.

Does that mean when people try to google the brand name it will be nowhere to be seen without a good amount of SEO and linkbuilding etc?

Those difficulty scores aren't the most accurate, for one. Second, a score of 28 isn't that bad. Build out your site with great content, make sure you have social pages made, start doing some link-building, and slowly, but surely ramp up your efforts over time and you should be good. The other thing, however, is that you need to do an actual competitor analysis to figure out exactly what you're up against. Find your top 3-5 competitors, find out what they're doing, create better content than they have, and get better links their sites have. This is all standard practice. That difficulty score shouldn't deter you from going at it, though.
 
I've checked out the competition and theirs not much of it to be honest. No big websites competing or anything....

Dont worry about. Just go ahead with your site and do normal link building.

I would say you're all set to get rolling then. Better to act now than overthink it and waste time. Take action. Get it started.

What site did you use to find that number?

I've never found a keyword score anywhere that's even close to accurate.

The biggest thing is they don't take into account relevancy, which is THE thing you need to look for.

A truly low comp keyword is not one where the competitors are weak, but one where almost no one is targeting the "topic". I say topic, because it's not about keywords in 2019. You can't just slap up the keyword in the title of your page and rank. But a low keyword topic would be where you search for say "how to train cats to find aliens" and you aren't seeing any pages deal with this, then you have a low comp set of keywords/topic.

It's something that really has to be done manually.
 
I would rely on ahref not on KWfinder
If you can't see any competition then you should be ok
Also the numerous branded anchors will take care of that for you

lol "how to train cats to find aliens" now ive heard it all.
 
I dont believe those word difficulty scores. If you want to check difficulty check competitor analysis.
