As for keyword density maintain it naturally, overdoing doesn't help with ranking. Instead of tools, you can take top 10 ranking sites, analyze the keyword density and get an idea.

Keyword density means showing your main key term in the whole body of the content in a user-friendly manner. if you writing 1000 word of content then in each para you can use your target keywords one time means 4 to 5 times is better but if you are using it many times then it can cause negative effect on your web copy.

if your article is 1000 words long and you mention your main keyword (the keyword you want to rank for) 10 times throughout your content this means you have a 1% keyword density. If you mention the keyword 25 times you have a 2.5% keyword density, and so on....
To be safe (ie. not be considered spammer by google) you should aim for a 1-5% keyword density, but I usually stick to 3-4%

Amazon optimizes based on product descriptions rather than keywords density. A listing with a lot of keywords may be viewed as spam, it could be penalized for it. Consumers most often use a combination of keywords when looking for a product.
