Hi, just a question. I'm running an ecom site and only focusing on local seo.just want to ask, does keyword density % counts keywords in meta title, meta description, slugs and alt tags?

I focus on SEARCH INTENT

When delivering the value the searcher INTENDS TO GET, I focus on this question: how many times should the keyword or its variants be NATURALLY MENTIONED?

yes, it does. you need to find the right balance as compared to the top sites in the niche....

you can easily test it out, by going crazy across each tag by putting lots of that particular keyword, and you will see your ranking going down the tube.... on the other hand, you can remove that keyword, and you will notice the same thing.

test it out here: https://www.keywordsheaven.com/on-page-tool/

Most SEO experts agree that the ideal keyword density is around 1-2%. This means that the target keyword appears about once or twice every 100 words. At this rate, the keyword appears enough times to show search engines the content of the page without keyword stuffing.

hello, so the keyword density only matters in page body contents? it doesnt take into account like in meta tags right?

understood thank you! :) wow keeping 1%-2% inclcuive of keywords in alt images tag, meta title & desc will be kinda hard :/

Yes it matters.

Meta Title helps with SEO

Meta Descriptions helps with CTR - so write your content smartly considering your requirements (local SEO) and character limit for each.

Cheers

Yes, but it's always better to keep slugs as short as possible.

It does matter alot , but the main part is not the meta tags and description as it more to white hat seo , Like citations and other white hat links !
