and also how many times should I give my LSI or synonyms keywords?

There's no fixed answer to this, it varies depending on how you judge an article, which SEO plugin you use or how you do keyword research.

Title, H1, Meta and a couple of times in the body of the article is / was seen as the way to go.

There's keyword clustering which is another important factor with content.
