Do you still use the KD metric?
If so, what's the best % for you?

I've stopped caring about this several years ago. Nowadays I just write the article without even looking at the KD, I put the keyword in the title of the article, put it once in the 1st paragraph of the article and then continue writing normally. If the keyword appears again in the article, good! If not, I don't care.

Yeah!! Even I too stopped giving attention for KD!

yes, for my brand new sites, i still use

Edit:
i misunderstood, I thought what you meant is Keyword Difficulity(KD)

my answer, mostly i don't use in my articles, since i see a lot of sites still get rank 1 with 0 density, same keywords every headers + conjunction

Place naturally keywords in your article, and you can use 1-2%.

I'm not expert, but from what I know - acceptable density is 3-4 keywords per page.

Just be natural. Most probably 2% is good for 100 - 150 words. It has direct impact on your site content so Be natural and Don't engaged too much.

As said before, it is 1 to 2 % per 100 or 150 words content.
Also, there is no thumb rule for keyword density and no one following now a days.
Not forcing the keyword intentionally at unusual places makes the users irritated, and obviously the ranking affects.

My opinion would be 1 to 1.5%
But write naturally, don't stuff the keywords

I'm sorry to say that keyword density is not as important today as it was, maybe, ten years ago.

Keyword density must be understood within the context of search intent.

You have to pay close attention to why people use the keyword they're targeting instead of another keyword.

What kind of questions would people have in their minds when they type that keyword?

You can then create content that delivers specific answers to those questions.

Your whole page must be themed around the searcher's intent.

This is how your content can rank higher and faster than your competitors.

Instead of focusing on automated or formulaic metrics such as keyword density, focus more on what the searcher is looking for.

This is where search intent, content context, and themes come in.

Focus on the quality of your content, that's what matters the most, write content to engage your audience, just don't stuff keywords intentionally, rest you don't have to worry about kd.

Most SEO specialists accept that an ideal keyword density is around 1-2%. This implies the objective keyword shows up around one to two times for every 100 words.

There is no optimum keyword density for ranking high on Google. Instead, write naturally and include the keyword phrase once or twice on the page
