KEYWORD density EXPLAINED...

First of all, we aren't in the age of AI lol, not even close. When true AI gets developed, then yes, that will be the day when "SEO is dead" threads will actually start to make sense. But, when that day comes, SEO will be the least of your problems. Second of all, you say forget about KD and then you say that you wouldn't recommend going above 1% - kinda contradictory, isn't it? Third, you can have all the LSI keywords, synonyms, long tails, etc... you want in content, if you stuff your main keyword or the words making up the main keyword separately you are going to get over-optimized.

Google has moved to understanding context rather than depend on 'density' of keyword, this is why they suggest natural writing. Write naturally but ensure your content captures the context in the best way possible, and ensure your title has they main keyword somewhere in there. Google will essentially try to rank you for all possible terms it can. Don't overthink it, don't over do it.
