I'm looking for a tool that can tell me not only the density, but also the position of keywords in a webpage/article or whatever bunch of text.

Do you guys know one?

Thanks!

There are lots of density tools, but I've never seen one that plots keyword locations... In my opinion, it is better to let text have some natural variation; all the emphasis on percentages makes it easy for Google to spot the "manipulators".

Well, some consider the location of keywords in the text as something to work on, especially for articles.

However, I'm not looking for this tool just for this purpose, so I'm going to keep looking.

Thanks for taking the time to answer!

PS: I prefer free, obviously, but I don't mind paying, as long as reasonably priced...
What would I be looking for if I wanted it made for me?

Finding position is an interesting idea, though these days you'd have to have some page renderer in order to have an idea of where the KW is on the page. Sometimes a text placed at the top may be rendered at the bottom, and most search engines have a graphical idea of pages these days and no longer text-only.

yeah, that's why it's not so easy as the number of keyword density tools would make you think it is!

Anyway, any thoughts about what kind of person I'm looking for if I can't find it already made?

Now many keyword density checking tools are available but you should try SEO quake because it's recommend by Google. I also use this tool since last three years and i hope you will also like it.

you can get density tools easily but I don't think so is there any soft that will tell you about placement.

OK, it looks like I definitely need to have someone make it or go manual.

Does anybody know where I could find someone with the right skills to make it?
