Hi,

I used to play with the Google KW tool but its gone. Recommend me a tool (free would be awesome) that can provide me keyword data from which my competitor is getting traffic from through search engines.

Thanks!

Keyworld tool is now called Keword Planner, by the way. It's much better than the old keyword tool,IMHO.

Give spyfu or semrush a try, to check your competition. Not completely free but you get some info.

Just login to your adwords account and use the keyword planner.

If anything it's better than it used to be!

Give a try with Keyword Eye it will helps you for gathering keyword data, competitor research as well.

I would have to strongly disagree that the current tool is better than the old one. I think the new tool provides fake data and inflates prices artificially even for zero competition niches.

SEMRush is the tool that I use to find competitors keywords that are driving traffic. Alexa and Open Site Explorer also gives a few for free. Another way (not necessarily as easy), is to visit the competitors website. Go to pages that you believe they are ranking well for. Look at the title of their page, along with H1 tags to manually find keywords. You can then take those keywords, and throw them into a ranking tool (or just manually look them up in incognito mode).

i agree with semrush too!! Not 100% free but you can get some data for free. Check too with sistrix and searchmetrics

well for to know the real ways how you competitors are getting success for certain keywords.for this purpose you have to to explore your competitor site and this can only be done by using ahref's site explorer.

The new name of Google KW tool is called "Keword Planner", or you can also use SEMRush.
