I have found a keyword with 4000+ searches on google keyword planner and it says low competition.
When i search for the keyword i found alot of sites on the first page with real HIGH DA like 70-93 lol.... BUT they dont use the keyword on their page which i typed in google.

So do you call this a high competition or is it still low competition? Another thing is, in the results google replaced some search words with a related word and showing those words in bold, have this anthing to do with why those high competition shows up?

I really appreciate if some of you guys have some answers. thanks:D

Keyword competition score from GKP is about AdWords advertising competition, not SEO rankings.

A page need not have keyword on it rank. Back links pointed at said page with keyword in anchor text is one ranking factor.

Thanks alot! This makes things much clearer. So i geuss the competition is very hard.

Hi,
As radiant said the google keyword planner is not based on SEO ranking...I agree with him.....

Also.. Ad planner is not very accurate when it comes to (exact) search volumes per month. Use SEMrush for really accurate results

Well, if you found a lot of authority sites on the first page, it might be the reason of their CTR. You could know that a part of Google's algorithm looks at a click-through rate.

If your click-through rate is higher than everyone else's, Google will slowly start moving you up the search engine results page as this algorithm factor tells it that searchers prefer your listing. It calculates it as a percentage, reflecting the number of clicks you receive from the total number of people searching for that particular phrase you rank for.

The higher the percentage, the more appealing your listing is compared to the competition.

Looking at the click-through rate isn't enough, however, as people could create deceptive title tags and meta descriptions to increase their results.

Best Wishes - BB.
