First off, I would like to apologize if I posted this thread in the wrong place, but here is my problem.

This is just an example of my keyword so I dnt giveaway my niche.
The keyword I'm going for is roof company Atlanta ga. I bought a domain and named it Roofingcompanyatlantaga.Com and I also have roofing company Atlanta GA as my brand.
I think when I start building my backlinks with my brand I might get my site penalized. So im wondering should I change my brand name or am I ok with it as it is.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully get a seo expert to help us both out.

That is one long ass domain name :D why you think you would be penalized?

I think you are safe on the domain name or they would have to penalize these guys too... which they clearly aren't. Now what you do with it might get you into trouble. :)

There's nothing about penalty. Just go with it comfortably.

Just because you have a keyword in your title, it doesn't mean you'll get penalized - that's just silly.

Although, pay attention not to go too crazy on same anchor texts pointing all to the homepage, as that's were you can get caught out.

I want to thank everybody who replied to this thread. I'm just going to be extra careful when I'm building my backlinks. Thanks again guys!

You wont get penalized, the largest change to emd's has been a devaluation of them to positively boost you, there is no negative boost. The only possible negative would be over-optimization of anchor text to your domain, if everyone links back to you with that keyword youll have too much exact mach anchors, so I would suggest you dont use that exact match anchor ever again if you use pbns or other links diversify the hell out of it.
