Hi

Doing some work for a company who's in the middle of doing a profile change, including changing their company name.
This means they also will be switching their domain. Site content will be the same, just with a new site name. How do you best go about keeping the rankings from dropping as much as possible during such a transition?

Obviously notifying the backlinks to point to the new domain and updating 301's, but is there anything else you would advice?
Haven't been through this part before, so I figured I'd ask anyone who might be familiar.

Find every URl you have on the old site and 301 redirect to it's new url.
Everything that isn't needed goes to homepage.

Great. 301's was my plan, so I'm glad we shouldn't run into problems.

I would send emails to the subscribers about the change and make even more new good backlinks. That said, every post should be shared regularly again so that you can have more backlinks to the individual posts.
