Keeping Adsense Account Alive After Channel Termination?

Hi all

After I had one of my YouTube channels terminated (after 3 copyright strikes) I was happy to find my Adsense account was still very much alive with no policy violations.

My (slightly dodgy) channel was monetized to the max & linked to my Adsense account, so I'm surprised & puzzled as to why?

The only reason I can think of is that I created my YouTube channel using a different gmail address (to the one used for Adsense) but is it really that simple?

The reason I'm asking is because I want to set up two new channels (with a view to linking them both to Adsense) but I want to keep my Adsense account alive & protected at all cost.

So is it just a case of using different gmail accounts to the one that's linked to my Adsense account .. surely it can't be that easy to fool YouTube / Google?

Same thing happened to me, but a bit different. I have had 2 adsense accounts, The first one banned, the second one I still have. I made the same mistake with both of them. Here is the story..

I made 4 gmail accounts, connected 1 of them to my new adsense account. The first 2 get 3 strikes and termanated. I then put legit videos on the account linked to my adsense account, following me?

BBUT... all of them are on the same IP right.. so guess what happens.

Violantion goes through and adsense says you can't use youtube as a monitazation source of income. But that is not the same as content.. so the content side of adsense is ok but the video side is banned.

Understand? So that is what is going on with you. There are 2 sides to adsense.. content/video.

Can you get your video monitazation back? Well I sent 2 letters about 6 months apart begging to be let back in and they said hell to the no.. so?

I don't want to link a different account to the same adsense account after they said no, they will just see that I am trying to do that and ban the adsense account.. but that is my guess. If anyone knows for sure of another way I would like to know. I been making money with adsense since '08

Youtube will get banned, But not the adsense account.
Your adsense account will be safe 99% of the times.

Sorry to hear that OneMan, but my adsense account (on the video side) seems to still be healthy.

I had two monetized channels linked to adsense & even tho one channel got terminated, the other one is still clocking up the $$$'s in adsense .. & since then I've managed to link another one of my channels to my adsense account.

From day one I've used the same IP for every channel, just different gmail addresses .. so maybe I was just lucky.

is the ban apply to your YT channel no whole YT Gmail Account ? because I have YT with the same Gmail account and I have multiple channels .

Just my YT channel, plus I can still access & use my gmail account that it was linked to.

because of safe , you should have 2 YT channels with 2 gmails and 2 adsense account.

Two adsense accounts would be great, but how do you do it?

Also, I take it you would need to different IP's?

Question for you Fuzzy, you have 2 DIFFERENT gmail accounts connected to your 1 adsense account? or 2 different channels connected to the same gmail account?

I had my channel banned but not my gmail(email) account. So can I just connect another gmail email to my adsense?

At the moment I just have one channel linked to adsense, but the channel & adsense were created using different gmail addresses. In the past I've had two channels linked to adsense, using different gmails for both channels.

I haven't tried (& it's probably not a good idea) to create YT channels using my gmail (adsense) address, as there's always a chance that one of the channels might get terminated & it might affect my adsense account.

The kind of channels I'm creating have a shelf life of about 6 to 12 months (as there's a moderate risk of copyright strikes) & I'm trying to work out the best way of linking these channels to adsense without damaging or losing my account.

I'm using different gmail addresses & browsers for each channel, but always the same IP .. & I imagine that's going to raise a flag eventually.

I'm not sure though & that's the reason I started this post .. If I want to link multiple (slightly dodgy) channels to just one adsense account, what's the best way of hiding my tracks?

Well i figure it like this.. until you make over $100/day they won't even pay you any mind.. but if you're making more than this then yeah you will get popped for having any BANNED account connected. I had a banned account (different email connected via IP) to my adsense account, they banned the email/youtube to my adsense account. I don't know how much you earn but once the manual review comes then you will be banned.. so keep it under $100/day and you should be ok, but start a new business, because it's vary unstable.

Was it possible for your to link your adsense account with different youtube accounts...?

Its your good luck that your account is still alive. But I think you wont be able to monetize that adsense with your banned YT channel. You can create a new channel of Youtube with another gmail account. upload some new videos then link your old adsense account. It will work. Best of luck!
