Love videos like this. See? At the end of the day, a feline is feline. Whether it's a jaguar, puma, etc. They're just big cats.
Leave the Tiger in its natural habitat.I've always had a fascination with exotic pets. A lot of you may assume I am joking, but I currently have the opportunity to purchase a male Siberian tiger cub. I am contemplating on whether or not to obtain and domesticate it; but as you would imagine the general consensus is this would be a bad idea. That being said, I feel like this stigma is largely due to the negligence of a few who weren't able to adequately care for it.
I've already done extensive research on safe keeping (proper enclosures, diet, etc) and I guess I'm looking for one of you crazy motherfuckers to side with me on this so I can feel reassured in my decision if I actually do go through with it. Keep in mind, I would raise it from a cub to minimize the possibility of unpredicted aggression. And as crazy as it sounds, I wouldn't be the first person to do this. Mike Tyson literally lived with his 3 tigers, and many others have seemingly pulled it off before.
Would anybody else here do it? Is it really unethical if it's getting the care it needs?
What about the thousands of tigers kept in zoos that seem perfectly content? Don’t you think raising one as a cub is different from snatching one from the wild?
I agreeMaybe you should'nt use Mike Tyson as an example to prove how normal what you want to do is.
Lol I guess using Tyson as an example wasn't smart. I'm sure he had a lot of help with taking care of the tigers as well.I agreeI remember a story from Tyson, where he offered a zookeeper 10.000 USD to open the cage so he can fight a silver back gorilla. They literally had to explain it, like to a 5 year old, why that is not a good idea and that they can not let him do it.
A chimp is 4x stronger than humans, I can't even imagen the strength of a gorilla.
Yeah, did you know that Zoos have a kill first animal if a break out happens? And guess which animal, Chimps! They are crazy, really terrifying. Now gorillas are not as crazy, but definitely stronger, Tyson even in his prime is not a match for a silverback gorilla.Lol I guess using Tyson as an example wasn't smart. I'm sure he had a lot of help with taking care of the tigers as well.
And I heard that story myself, made me laugh. Don't get me wrong, in his prime he was a beast, but a gorilla would literally rip him apart.
