Karma on Reddit accounts goes up by itself.

Hey, everybody! The situation is that on some of my Reddit accounts karma is added by itself )

I first noticed it about 2-3 weeks ago. I had an account with 10-12K post karma. I to sell it. The next day I went to see what the buyer was promoting from it. But there was still empty, but the karma added about 5 or 7K. I thought he'd spiked it and deleted the original post. I visited his account a day later and there was even more karma and no traces of any posts. Well, I thought that he is nakruzhivayutsya it, and forgot about him. In general, now on this account 25K post karma. Originally it was 2 times less.
So it's happening again. 4 days ago, I sold an account with 7K post karma, and now it's at 9K.

And that's not all. 3 of the 7 accounts I have left at the moment have the same thing. On two of them added karma for a few days on 3-4K. And on the third one it's almost 12K in one day.

What the fuck is this? And has anyone ever encountered this???

Perhaps some popular posts were still up in their subreddits and getting upvotes.
 
having the opposite problem lol karma isnt counting like at all. posts with 700 upvotes getting 200 karma lmao
 
there is no way you can get karma if you have 0 comment/post, it doesn't work that way
 
That's natural correction by Reddit itself. Your karma doesn't represent the actual number of votes you have received. It's derived from that, but goes through an alghoritm calculation that then decides how much Karma you will actually have. I wouldn't worry/care about it at all.

Perhaps... But then why haven't I seen this before? I've had a couple hundred accounts go through me in the couple years I've been working, and I've never seen this before

It would be easier to ask the buyer how he did it.

Never heard of this before, sounds pretty interesting and curious how it's possible as well.

The only guess I have is that the upvotes you bought to increase their karma in the first place took some time to kick in. I never seen this sort of thing happens, though..

I forgot to mention it above, but I don't buy upvotes. All that karma is mined without buying upvotes.
 
How can it be possible ?
Unless your post/comment were somehow not deleted or their's a glitch.
 
Can you update the status of those accounts If you don't mind?
