"Karma" Is Bullshit.... O'rly?

Karma is just an excuse made up by people who are jealous of other people to make themselves feel better. If karma really existed all the evil governments around the world would already have suffered from some kind of problems rather than continuing to ruin everyone's lives

Karma ain't nothin' but a product of human FEAR and GREED.Here's why.

Think about it.You were brought up to believe in karma (or heaven and hell = same thing).

If it's only karma that makes you do good things then your good deeds are tainted with the
"deal" you have with karma. That's where greed creeps in."I'll do good things and in return Karma will reward me in future." Pretty immature if you ask me and nothing more than a business deal with your chosen deity.Same goes for praying. It could possibly imply that without your belief in karma you wouldn't have done those good things in the first place.

On the other hand, you may contemplate doing bad stuff but you're scared shitless that you'll return in the next life in a form of a toilet plunger.

How about doing good for the sake of doing good and not for some selfish motive?

My 2 cents on the subject.

P.S. Aristotle's quote is appropriate here - "[h=1]I have gained this by philosophy: that I do without being commanded what others do only from fear of the law.[/h]"

I dont believe with karma.
But Im sure if we keep doing bad, one day it will lead us to destruction, because of our personality.
Sorry for my bad english.

karma is total bs
there are LOTS of people who steal BILLIONS from our contry's budget and they and their family live like in a dream with their family in friends
there are people who kill other people for money and rule and never go to prison cause of their connections and stuff

and there are people who save children from the fire and die leaving their family without enough money to educate kids and live normal life

there are people who perfomed lots heroic acts during WWII and saved lots of their buddies and just usual civilians, and now these people nearly starve to death because government doesn't give a sh*t about them and nobody really cares

do i believe in karma when all this happens contantly around me? HELL NO

sorry for bad english

believing in karma or not is your choice. It's a neverending debate like if you believe in God or specific religion. You come up in argument another one would try to argue it. It's your choice to believe it or not.

What matters is if you choose to (sorry to borrow star wars famous quote) join the dark side because you believe something like, "Screw karma. I wanna be rich". That kind of attitude will lead you to destruction because the moment you sell your moral ethics and values for money you would realize that you work for money and not the other way around. I dont know about your family, GF, or whoever close to you, but myself for sure would lose all those people around me if I get rich by scamming people. That's something, im afraid, which is irreplaceable. Ofcourse i can always get new friends or new GF but i dont want people faking relationship with me just because of money. I want to make a lot of money, for sure, but i dont want to get rich by doing something bad to others.

I hope that answers your doubts lol

I'm an extremely firm believer of karma. I'm surprised that many of you guys aren't...I mean to each his own, but I don't think karma has a narrow definition, and I think that REAL karma is judged my a persons true motives and energy.

Regardless of ones religious belief, I believe that everything is controlled by energy. Karma is part of that energy. When I give a friendly waitress who broke a plate an extra $5 tip, I'm doing it because I know she's probably paying her way though school, and even though I'm not living in luxury (yet!), I'd like to help her out and boost her confidence. I don't do this because I want something good to happen to me, I do it just to do it for that person.....ultimately (if you want to get even deeper), I guess I'm doing this because it makes me feel good (some people don't care about stuff like this, I personally do...), but in turn, my energy and mood will be positive.

It's a real deep topic IMO, but ultimately I think that if you try and be the best person you can be, and you help people out, that energy will come back around to you in someway. And as for people who commit horrible crimes and do bad things, well just because they have money, or are living a lie, or whatever doesn't mean that their happy. Listen if I found an illegitimate way to make 50 million dollars, but there was no chance of me getting caught, but I would hurt thousands of people in the process, I'm sure a lot of bad things would happen. I'm sure, for one, that I'd lose a lot of people that I love. I wouldn't ever be happy. It's the classic story....a billionaire has everything he wants except the girl he loves. I may be a fool, but I'd take the girl and figure out a way to become wealthy without hurting anyone in the process.

I think when you do nice things for people, genuinely, you just feel better about yourself, you boost confidence, and personally it makes me more positive in all of my goals and endeavors. I've had bad karma come around to me too, for most things, I just didn't know better at the time, but I paid my price. I've seen others pay their price, I do believe it is a real. It's just not so materialistic, it's really deep, having to do with energy and feelings and emotions that are really difficult to understand (and also to explain, so some of this post may not make clear sense).

Karma isn't (at least to me) motivated by fear. I do understand how religion is ultimately motivated by fear, and how it's ultimately a means by which to control people (not to dispute any religion here, I myself am Catholic, but it's the truth), but Karma is different. Karma doesn't have rules and regulations, it doesn't require you to attend church, it doesn't ask you for any money, all it asks you to do is be a good person. Whether a person believes it or not, I think that it'll come back to them, even if they deny it. I don't know if I believe in karma in terms of reincarnation, that I haven't figured out, but we do pay for Karma in this life. Stay right!

Lol I just read your post, I agree with a lot of what you said...my thoughts exactly. People who get rich off of scamming others probably won't have a lot of people attending their funeral.

People's perceptions on Karma are so different that there is no way anyone can agree what karma really is.

My perception? Karma is physic/subconscious impressions and emotions that build up over time and stored in the body. If some of these bad emotions are left in the body and not treated, than they bring bad experiences. Good emotions will bring good experiences. Also ties into the Law of Attraction.

I am religious by no means but I have developed my own spirituality over the years, I firmly believe in the Law of Attraction and that thoughts manifest.

my guess why everyone one and his dog talks about karma is, that 75% of bhw members are indians who, most likely, grow up with this belief. i grew up in an indian sect and turned to whole opposite in my teenage years. so, no - no karma for subster

What goes around, comes around...

Call it Karma, God, religion or life, it's still legit.

If you do something wrong, do you seriously think you won't have to pay back ?

Well, that's another thing people can argue all the time.

Firm believer of karma. You can do something bad today, and you could get your karma 10 seconds later, or 10 years later, but you will get what you deserve at one point in time.

I think Karma makes logical sense - if you assume existence and consciousness is good, then the universe is good, whatever being that made it is good and would thus have a just system.

Reincarnation and soul is the continuation of our consciousness "energy", as energy is never created or destroyed.

Also important is an afterlife that rewards goodness, and although it punishes evil, it does not ETERNALLY do so - which btw, in the original Greek, Jesus NEVER mentions eternal hell. It was a deliberate mistranslation of a word that means roughly "eons" in English. ie bad people go to hell FOR A LONG TIME - not eternity. Why would a just God damn people eternally?

That all being said, for those who care to look into this stuff for real, there is a fair amount of literature on mediums, and what they have said about the afterlife - and although a fair amount are/were frauds, there are a handful who have been (quietly) verified by scientists.

Remote Viewing, a psychic tool, was developed for use by the US military, and evidence suggests that China has the world's most advanced psychic spy program.

This is the kind of stuff I didn't believe. I in fact spent a few months downloading Ed Dame's Remote Viewing Course, and then testing it - after 4 sessions, I concluded that there was definitely something legit happening.

Besides irrational skepticism, I think people avoid the evidence for two main reasons. First, if it took a lot of energy to release themselves from religion (usually childhood instilled), it is only natural to feel anger or resentment towards anything resembling it. I certainly went through a stage like this.

Second, people don't want to be held to a moral standard, and so don't believe that one exists cuz they don't WANT to believe it.

But enough of my opinions, for those who care enough, check out Victor Zammits website and books. Also good is Alan Kardec stuff.

Hope this helps.

like a lot of things, it is as real as you make it

There is good energy and bad energy.... however when you are dealing with sociopathic personality types.... they don't give a rats ass about karma. what they say is right... .... not what society thinks. I'm talking about narcissistic personality types. karma is only relative to each individual. Do you think Hitler or Stalin had bad karma ? these men conquered the world.... and if they had not been megalomaniacs... would have ruled the world.

If you want to call that Karma fine. All i know is that EACH OF US must make a decision on how we will live our lives. If you derive pleasure from hurting other's, you are a sociopath. And whatever bad energy you attract to yourself is what you deserve. Vice Versa.

The Karma acts like your bank-balance. The more positivity than the negativity you have in your bank (karma Bank), the karma gives you almost what you wish for. When the negativity rises more than the positivity, the karma brings you bad luck (punishments).

Sometimes Karma doesn't wait for the negativity to grow above positivity, it attacks you with some disaster (small or large, to you or to your near ones or to your belongings) when there is the need to do that. Sometimes the Karma also doesn't wait for the positivity to rise well above the negativity, it gives you some gains and gifts. So create a shield of +ve energy around you that will stop you from doing something "that's not good", and attracting "curses"/ill-feelings/accidents/misfortunes/... IMO, Karma is the result of any action that we are doing all the time. What we do can be +ve, -ve, neutral... It will keep building that bank balance...

IMO, one can also lend/gift a part of his/her karma to someone else -- good, quite easily, and bad, only if you know how to "give" it to some one else.

Some people with advance knowledge can easily pass on another person's Karma to someone else individually or to a crowd, and vice versa. It's funda is a bit difficult to grasp initially... :)

I'd call that nonsense, and something completely made up. I strongly believe that Karma is made up the same reason religions is. To hold on to something when you're sad or confused of why all this and that happens to YOU, and not the neighbour. I know a lot of good people with "Good" karma who have had nothing but AWFUL lives (some in my family actually). They are SO helpful, and so polite, and nice, but they can't take an education, can't take a job. Lives in a small apartment, can barely buy food, and one of them just comitted suicide. Where is the Karma here? Seriously? Where?
And don't say anything like: "He will be reborned as a great man, or an angel" or something no one has a clue about anyway.

/Rant

Not trying to be offensive, or insulting, just trying to prove my point, it hurts when people in your family comits suicide when they where NOTHING but good people.
