I'm an Aussie, and have a few .com.au's. They don't get much traffic, mostly in the xx's, however all of them are PR1-4. Are the submissions limited to .com.au's only though, as I'd prefer to link my .com.au's to your .com.au's, and have you link some good .com's to my .com's in return.

Im on the northern beaches, Manly area.

I do SEO through my main business (IT Support) for a few clients and have just this week taken another on board. I dont really advertise it at all, but if I get into a conversation with someone, or reffered then ill take it on. Its pretty much money for Jam for most of my customers.
 
Looks like I might be the only pleb in Brisbane here, willing to do whatever though.

I'll sign up when you get your forum up, if you dont mind having a noob in the group? I'm new to this whole scene. Not new to programming though, been at it a few years. Fast learner. Anyway, would enjoy getting an Aussie perspective on everything. I'm in rural NSW atm but can get to Sydney easily on the train.
 
At the end of the day we are all noobs, you cant know everything. With such a diverse group of Aussies I think we could really learn off eachother.

I have a shit load of .co.nz's and would love to build a .com.au network but i was told there was a restriction in buying domains freely!

Hey guys i'm in also, only a noop and only have .coms up at the moment but after i have done some learning with sites i will be moving into the .com.au's
Im in Melbourne if anyone here would like to catch up for a beer.
Also be interested in getting up a ozzie network of blogs/sites.

You need an ABN (Australian Business Number) to register most forms of .au - its really quite simple if you had a mate in Australia its a free instant online process the only issue I could think of is of course with the taxman when its tax return time. They might want to know where some of the revenues from the domains have gone if he got audited - but yes very slim chance but dangerous territory.

Or go for a JV, I'm sure a lot of Aussies on here would be willing to register it up for you for a small slice of the pie and then kick back the revenues to you through invoiced 'Fees'.

On another note - I think its a good idea to bring us all together but of course there will have to be some sort of 'Gentlemen's Agreement' when it comes to niches. But then again - some shared monetization tips could go a long way - I have a few large scale Australian wholesale hookups that I haven't had time to go for the SERPs yet with which i'm willing to share.

.com.au's aren't as tough as the registrars make out. Don't even bother with .org.au's unless you are a genuine organisation or charity. You will get knocked back.

OK guys, we can't really discuss another forum here - we're treading on the line of a banning. I've disclosed what we're doing to the mods so we should be OK. I just told them I don't want to clog up BHW with talk of cricket and beer.

Im hitting this up with a JV to reg the domains as i know some killer niches... i do also have a mass domain/content network management system that will make this worthwhile :)... i also have budget for SEO so PM for JV!
