I started to develop an online app for my brother's bar, and soon realized that is a very good niche and a very good opportunity.

It's about Customer Loyalty. Almost all big business can (and do) use this kind of marketing program. The nice thing about this is to provide this services to small business, than normally can't access to them.

I'm looking for a person who can fund the development of this app. I'm not looking for a split in profit, instead I will give all the rights to sell this app in english speaking countries. This means that, if you can sell it, all the profit is for you. I will sell this service in spanish speaking countries. (Technically, this means that I will develop two mirrored apps, your and mine. At the end of the agreement, you can do whatever you want with the code)

So, If you already have a local business related to marketing and internet, this can be a really good addition to the services you sell.

I'm looking for something around U$S 1.500/month, for 6 month. Consider that the app will be in beta in about the first month, and we could start to sell it in 2nd month. The other 4 months are to improve, add functionality and customizations requested by clients

Man, not trying to rain on your parade here - and want to clearly understand.... You are wanting people to pay you for your time to build a product that you will also be using?

As a general rule, when i hire coders I do so with the express intent that if I pay you to build it, you do not have any rights to it - it's mine.

You might be better off building your idea, and then telling people all about the script you wrote and what it does and then offer to let them buy a copy.

This is the thing: The orginal app will be small and targeted to a custom bar. It's already paid and in development. What I saw is the opportunity to bring this simply app to a big site. Think in something like basecamp for example, bring this marketing service to a multi users, multi client service.

If you try to understand my motivations to post here, think about this: I want to start a startup based in this script. I won't be selling the script, I will be creating a business. But I live in Argentina, so it's very unrealistic for me to target local business like bars and restaurants in USA, England, Australia, etc. Also I can develop this by my own, but the founding will let me reduce the "time to market".

As I interested in selling this service to my city first, and then go city by city in my country, I thought I could speed up development getting funds, and giving away a market where I'm not interested, looks like a win win situation for me.

    Q&A:
My Full time dedication for 6 months. Include coding, design, and internal SEO. Also hosting (at least at the begging, if the businnes grows, better and faster host will be needed). The code will include mobile apps, web site and probably a windows client for clients without internet connection in his place.

Argentina. My time zone is very close to most of USA timezones

I understand what you're saying. But the thing is that this wont be a script to sell. I'm looking for funds for creating and startup, and in the process, one person could be investor and get his share (and exclusivity in USA market).

Again, you're not hiring a coder here. If you want to hire a code, there are lot's of places to do that. Here I'm looking for a business partner.

Already paid, looking for expand into a basecamp or mailchimp kind of business. Explained before in this same post.

    Final Toughs

Developing an app to be sold it's very different to a web site. When you develop an app to be sold (normally called script), you need to think in a easy install process, easy confuration, be sure that will work with any hosting, even the crappy ones.

Instead, when you develop a site, a web 2.0 as people call them, you need to think in scability, in resource usages. Twitter and Facebook droped regular database some time ago, instead they use documents databases like mongodb, couchdb or raven (actually both twitter and facebook developed they own databases system).

Have you ever looked at custom apps being sold in flippa? custom coded apps, look for that and check the prices.

PS: I'm not new here and I'm not new in internet. I know that posting this kind of thing here could bring some ppl complaining or at least posting his opinions. It's Ok. This is my first option, but there are lot's of new crowdfounding sites lately. If I don't have luck here, that will be the next step.

Either way, thanks for reading :)
