I would go with Justhost. Tried it myself and feels like its not the best, but it isnt worse at all.
You should be googling for their customer reviews before you buy. As people differ, their choice defer.

This is the second time I recommend JH in here (it'll begin to look like a commercial) but I think this is a no-brainer. I've heard less than flattering things about Bluehost and how they oversell like crazy, so that's something to keep in mind.

If you know how to setup your own *nix server with LAMP and do some basic security and you are going t spend $15 a month for your hosting, you might as well go with volumedrive. I have there VPS3 plan with 4gb ram, 2 cores, 4gz cpu, 2 ip's, 4tb traffic.month all for $15 a month. I have been with them for the past 3 months and have had almost no problems. And if you do have problems just email them and they get back to you quick. At least during normal working hours.
Try to run magento on godaddy or justhost with 1000 products and see how it goes for you..

i only used hostmonster (=bluehost). i have only good things to say about them but DO NOT use them as registrar they have a feature in their system that exposes all your domains even if u have whois privacy

I use Bluehost (amongst others) for hosting content clusters and find them to be OK but not great. Response times can be slow and I've had the server I'm on out of comission twice during the last year.
I wouldn't host any of my money sites on them but for everything else should be no problem. Can't comment on JH.

Here's my Justhost story...
I created a simple blog which became popular within my niche, not a ton of traffic but around 8k uniques per month, some 500-600 daily page views. My site got so slow, mind you simple wordpress, only some 50 articles....
To try to speed up the site loading time, I put the site on MaxCDN, and used the W3 supercache plugin. This takes nearly all the load off the server as the CDN is able to cache images, js, css, and the homepage entirely.
My server blocked the CDN addresses, and despite all my efforts to getting them whitelisted it never happened. 4 days into this massive outage, they finally do something....suspend my account.
At that point they help my site hostage, and tried to push me to a $149 dedicated server (total overkill). There were no options presented. Finally after SCREAMING at them in email after email, I was able to get the EPP code to move the site to a different host. Fortunatly I had a backup, because when they finally "let me in" to retrieve the site files, the folder for that domain had been deleted (apparently thats what Justhost does once they issue EPP codes...BE CAREFUL).
I now own a little webhosting business (Hostgator reseller), and will tell you the difference is Night and Day. I never support issues beyond the initial setup type stuff because Hostgator just works.

Thanks Alex for sharing your exp with just host........
While most hosting companies will have similar features, what makes JH stand out is the easy to use Control Panel. It is very newbie friendly and even attractive (LOL). Another thing is their support. They answer emails quickly, have lots of discounts and I have no complains regarding their uptime.
PS: If you will be hosting an adult site, keep in mind that JH does not accept such sites.

I've had both, and Justhost sucks.. All sites on justhost were hacked multiple times. Never had any sites hacked on bluehost. To give you an idea of how good bluehost is, they automatically fixed all of the timthumb files on my sites to prevent exploits and sent me an e-mail of each update automatically. I'm with 3 other hosts currently and they are the only ones that informed me of this when it started. Bluehost seems to bog down sometimes, but overall it's pretty good.

this same server is for $99

Tried Bluehost for a year and had numerous problems and extremely slow page loads.
Switched over to their 'Pro' package and asked for a refund after 6 weeks. Service was no better than their standard package.
Bluehost shared package ram allocation 32mb .. Pro package 96mb. They wouldn't tell me what processor was for either package.
