Justhost server speed

Hey guys!

I am currently hosting some sites at Justhost and it seems that they are slow like hell. Sites are on a shared hosting and the support guy says that nothing can be done. He suggested upgrading to a $15/month plan which is also a shared one, but with fewer users hosted. Although he can't guarantee noticable speed difference, he says that should be faster.

Any recommendations? Should I go for that plan or change hosts?

Go for that plan because justhost is in top 3 hosting providers... Any host for $3 per month is like that... Its all about the money! Pay more and you'll get more...

Will not suggest that you use this provider. Choose other providers to see if they can fulfill your requirement

you need to host your website on ssd drives and litespeed webserver with cloud linux for fast speed. geniushost.in provide this hosting at low price.
 
just host is terrible

just change to other hosting company
 
Ive had a few non-money suites on JH for a couple of years.
Don't use them for anything important :-)
Even email is flaky.
I would never upgrade with a provider that didn't show some quality at lower price points

Hostgator and Justhost are now owned by the same company, so if you don't like Justhost, then you probably won't like hostgator

That is not true at all. While SSD's & LiteSpeed _CAN_ make your website "faster" they have the same issues as everything else. Once a host overloads the machine or network no matter what technology they use it will run like utter crap.

Exactly this...Just Host, Host Gator and all the other bullshit "top 10" providers you find on the bogus "rating" websites are all owned by EIG.

You are better off shooting for a smaller company that is more performance and customer oriented. Personally I use stablebox, but there are a ton of other hosts out there that can easily provide better service with little to no increase in costs.
 
Thanks for your replies. I am certainly done with JH and HG. JH speed sucks bigtime and due to their bogus outgoing mail filter, I can't even send emails to one of my biggest clients. Their IP is apparently on some blacklist, lol.

I will check out stablebox and hostwinds...any more I should take into an account when deciding?

edit: Hostwinds don't offer shell access on their shared plans and I do not need vps or dedicated server (yet)

Change hosts. JustHost is not all that in other aspects either. For one, what the fs are addon domains? You can have a main domain and addon domains that work as subdomains of the main domain? It would be a SEO disaster to make most of your niche sites to be on the subdomains of your main money site.
 
You will get many good host with good reputation

Just check ni webhostingtalk for hosting providers
 
There are many good hosting sites try to check the one which provides good service and speed

hostgator has been running good for me and I have the shared plan.
