It's not new for everyone because every buddy sell data if have huge data Every Company sell data
 
I really don't understand why FB needs all this info on individuals for.

Facebook always in court for something, that be there next case...

They’re in the data business, let them get on with it. WhatsApp is too good not to use imho.
 
They have all your chats already :D In my opinion, everything you say or type on the internet stays there. Sometimes it gets deleted after a week, sometimes never...

Theres plenty more messaging apps. Don't even know why everyone is bothered about Whatsapp.
Either use whatsapp or use one of the many other messaging apps if your not happy with FB having your data.
 
So how are your friends going to contact you now?

It works well and everyone uses it. Its a bit like PayPal I guess; yea its a bit shit, the support is terrable and its annoying to rely on PayPal when it seems to have some many shortcomings, but all said and done its very well recognised, used and trusted by so many people and when you don't have an issue with the system it actually works really well. Whatsapp is the same in my opinion - yea it might have some bad press, it might be controlled by a company that has more data on us than any other organisation in the world but hey, it works really well, its fast, well supported, cross browser compatible, trusted and used by everyone and its free (But hey, nothing in life is really free so I guess the price here is a bit of your information). Theres worse things in life than Facebook knowing my shoe size.
 
I would uninstall but my family use whatsapp a lot and that's the way I can keep contact with them

I don't email or text my friends, always used social media including WhatsApp, Snapchat and Messenger. Literally the only reason I still use those apps, would love to delete them though.
 
Not a surprise at all. They have been doing this long time ago.
