This is now official but they were sending data to Facebook for more than 2 years. I even tested it out by typing some stuff into WhatsApp and in a matter of minutes, the same category ad was promoted on FB. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I actually discovered this by luck.
I was talking about a product via text on whatsapp.
Scrolling through facebook 5 minutes later, and all the adverts were that product. I can't remember which product, but I was like "damn, whatsapp are selling my data to facebook" and then someone told me that facebook owned whatsapp, which I was not aware of.
So yes, your data 100% gets used from whatsapp to facebook for advertising.

I noticed that in recent time that the word "Facebook" whenever my whatapp is loading but Ignored it but it's obviously we can't do anything about it
