Just turned 18 :) Need Suggestions

The best definition of procrastination I've ever read
Yes. Just think about it, if you are passionate about soccer, would you procrastinate going to the football field? If someone is passionate about building muscles, would he procrastinate going to the gym?

Well I'm really passionate and got an internship with my own case studies but goyta work on strong determination and focus

Just stay away from people of your age - they don't even have an idea as to why they exist.

I could have used this tip five years ago when I was 18

OP if you're really trying to be successful and make money on your own terms, surround yourself with likeminded people - unfortunately, when you're 18 years old there's not a lot of those types of people around.

This doesn't mean be antisocial but just devote more time working on yourself (and projects/money) and you'll be swell. Especially if you're starting to lock in so young

Plus, if you’re going to make 30k a month in the near future that means that every day you’re spending procrastinating is literally costing you a grand tomorrow.

You must make money yesterday.

Holy fuck.

When you put it this way procrastination seems more like slowly digging a grave for yourself.

Thank you

1. If you live in a bad area, don't tell people what you do.

2. Put in headphones in both ears, listen to some music, read and learn for hours and hours everyday.

3. Implement methods, and implement another aspect to it to make it "your own".

4. Keep trying new methods, dapple into EVERYTHING, email marketing, CPA, ads, apps, etc etc.

5. Get rich.

Open a long term savings account like an IRA if you are in the states. IM is a roller coaster and if you are serious about this then start tucking money away right now so that when you are older even if all your ventures fell or nothing was long term, you will still have some of that short term money you made throughout the years.

Save now, so you don't have to later.

Awesome dude your journey's are amazing

Start with taking action, make shorterm goal, than keep progress,
Well the problem is on your mindset, since you think well i want to be rich, but no hurry. So you keep delaying. since you doesn't feel any urgency to act.
try to change your mindset for every time you delay to act, mean you will pay that time latter at your life facing some financial trouble.
People love to say find things you passionate about, in my Opinion NO!, you will just waste time making reason and justify it as reason to not taking action, and keep Delaying.
Basicly the most important is getting the Rewarding feelling from your hardwork, you will got addicted to it, and do it with more Passion...

That's exactly what it is, procrastinating means you keep postponing decisions and actions, but when are you going to actually do the thing? This is not a "test life", this is literally all the time you have and once you wasted it you'll never get it back in any way.
It's not really like digging your own grave but if you procrastinate you're not living your life, you're just watching it being not-lived.

Discipline is what makes you achieve what you really want, because let's say if you say "i want to be super fit and ripped" that's something you say you want, but your body keeps telling you McDonald's and sitting on your sofa is not that bad after all. But what you really want, because you rationally said you want it, is being fit. If you have no discipline you'll keep letting your "body" control your life, and never achieve what you really want.

It's like if you do nothing actively everything will happen TO you, and not BECAUSE OF you.

If you want to boost productivity buy a huge countdown timer and put it on the wall in whichever room you spend most of your time in, that's going to make you realize time passing a lot more. I set it to 100 days countdown every 100 days, will reset it on NYE too.

Time is the scariest thing, it passing right now and you have to act now for tomorrow, if you act tomorrow stuff is going to happen one day later, and we only live 70/80 years, which is nothing, 70 years is 25.550 days, if you're 20 you're almost a third into the 25k day countdown.

75 years is 900 months, check this out, this is what a 29 year old life looks like.

My advice to you OP: Set financial priorities. You probably receive some monthly pocket money or some bucks from a side hustle. Prioritize where to spend this money. The people in your age might prefer to spend their money on fancy clothes to brag about their "wealth". Spending 80€ on a thsirt is fun as long as you don't mind if you get wine spilled on it because you can afford to wear it as a daily use item as what it is intended to be which is just possible if you make 100x this amount each month. Even though this might no apply to you, you should choose to buy the the 20€ shirt. The 60€ gap can be invested into ad spent. Have you got any idea how much traffic you can buy from 60€? It will be definitely worth more than showing off your so called wealth for a short second.

Think about it like the following: Spend 3/4 fridays a months hustling, spend 1/4 fridays partying. Don't forget about your childhood.
Your friends which are most likely spending 4/4 fridays partying will have to work a silly 9-5 struggling your bills.
You will be able to work a few hours a day in your own business make and potentially unlimited amount of money while traveling the world.
Financial freedom is the first step into real freedom. (as long as we live in capitalism)

Wish you all the best man. Commit to your project - don't waste your time. :)

@nouveauriche Always a pleasure reading your replies. Enjoyed reading your "immoral technique" - thread. Lots of HQ info in there. Thanks for everything!

Ah 18... Your going to fuck up - everyone does. No matter how much you plan as soon as you start making money (if you have friends or like to go out) the money will go.

Get a part time job first or full time job. Work on the side.

Have to agree with @dotc0m about the savings account. Id also open an instant access savings account and get £/€/$100-250 saved int here NOW once you hit that 100-250 go and apply for a credit card DO NOT USE IT TO BUY NICE THINGS. Use it for food, shopping maybe the od game or night out etc.

DO NOT SPEND MORE THAN WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR INSTANT SAVINGS ACCOUNT. When your monthly statement comes along take out the 100-250 you saved up and pay that card off. Do not use that card again still you save up another 100-250 and rinse and repeat. It's going to train you to handle and manage money, it gets your credit profile on the right track shows you can handle money and manage it - if you do it right you will start to see your credit increase every 3 months or so NEVER put more than 10% on it and pay it off in full more so if your still young.

Now you have your credit account working for you and you can start to manage a small amount of money. IF you have not already start to cut back totally on out goings and start to focus on some goals find the cheapest property in your country that you can rent out and aim to acquire that.

That's kind of how you should be looking to work now if you want to set your self up. Don't go trying to chase the $1m a month goal. Aim to secure assets (ideally property) sooner than later with a recession / depression on the way saving fast with a good clean credit record could be an ideal time to secure something cheap! Start renting that out and get on your journey.

Should stress and I mean stress IF you over spend on that credit card stop using it if you can't pay it off in full. You miss payments, you max out the credit and it goes sideways you are fucked for the next 6-10 years. Might not seem like. along time when your 18 but in 10 years you might be trying to settle down or whatever. It's about being smart, learning to manage money and set limits in place so when you do make some money you ain't going to splash it and get back to ZERO.

When I was your age, I started hustling online and it's been the best choice of my life since.

Don't forget that you might need to keep a job to survive :)

Get really good at this, and you can work with digital marketing for a living.

Try out methods that don't have you spending a lot of money upfront.

There's plenty of cheap ways to make some extra money online with the methods you'll find on BHW and you won't have to spend a single cent :)

All in all, I would probably register a new domain name if I was you, and get some hosting, and get started on building a website. My 2 cents. Good luck!

Very inspirational thread, I've been procrastinating of late. The idea of been 40 and broke is scary....
Then go make that money right now, being 40 and broke is totally gonna happen unless you do something about it, 40 and broke is actually one of the best scenarios people end up in, some people end up being homeless at 30.
Of course it's not over until you give up, but if you don't keep pushing things are going to get progressively worse. If you don't focus on money you will have less and less money, if you don't focus on your body you'll be in a worse shape every month.

You have to go buy groceries if you want stuff in your fridge, sitting on the sofa thinking "i hope the fridge doesn't end up being empty" is not going to make any difference, neither is opening the fridge and complaining about it being empty, it's not filling itself anyway.

With money it's the same thing, if you don't take care of your money it will go somewhere else where's it's more welcome.

#1 mistake is 'shiny object syndrome'. Most people trying to succeed online are jumping from product to product, from method to method and never succeed in anything. Believe me, I was there - and so 99% of other online marketers. You need to pick one thing that works for others and do it until you succeed - whatever it takes. It may take you 6 months, maybe a year or maybe 2 years, but be persistent and keep learning and trying this 1 thing - and I guarantee - you WILL succeed!

I made that decision 3 years ago and didn't have much success for 2 years, while in 2019 I made over $100K pure profit. I was running mobile paid ads - first pops and then push notifications ads.

So, do 1 thing for at least 1 year - thank me later ;) Good luck!
