    Hello everyone,

I'm excited to jump right in, and already have my mind brimming with ideas and hope to only gain more.

I have some primitive goals set already, but I'm just starting out in this neck of the internet game, have a lot of time and dedication to getting it done, and look forward to becoming a part of the community.

Currently just a younger IT nerd that works in an office not doing much of anything all day, every day. Looking to expand my abilities and make my time more worthwhile. Currently, I'm willing to take some risks and hope that any attempts I make with the aid of the many tutorials and advice from members here are successful at least teaching me something. My main objective is to make enough through these means to live securely while I spread out more with my IT education and hopefully invest back into the company I work for.

I'll be around asking some completely newb questions to ensure I have my bases covered, so thanks ahead of time for any help! :)

I also thought I would add that so far, my first venture into this world will more than likely be an attempt to monetize a blog.

I'm looking into e-mail lists, thinking about ways to combine it all with advertising. I've got a LOT to learn about the different affiliate programs, which direction to head with them... but I'm looking into making a few e-books, and hoping to find some product(s) that I can start advertising through the blog.

If anyone by chance had any starter's tips for monetizing a blog, I would definitely appreciate some feedback. Currently the only thing I have even lined up is to get a domain, and keep pushing (completely original, high-quality) content through it. Blogger is currently my platform. I've had the blog going for 2 days, and today when I was publishing articles, I already have 3 views (from doing nothing) so I'm hoping with some original content and a good niche, I can make a successful first attempt.

    Thanks!
