Hello fellow BlackHatters...

I just bought my first website and am trying desperately to get it up and running, and most importantly, to make money off of it.

the URL is http://www.asswhore.org

i bought the site mostly because i think this URL can attract many people either directly, or through SEO.

Here are my questions.

1. I am using godaddy and want to use wordpress to run the site. is this a good idea? Things to consider: this is my first website. I don't know what I'm doing.
2. I want to make money off ads and to make money when people click on ads or even look at ads. What program will allow me to do this? Things to consider: Which is the best and easiest to use, which will get me more hits?.
3. This is my first website. is there anything i should know about getting ripped off by godaddys hosting?
4. Godaddy appraised my site like this. "Domain Name Appraisal for: ASSWHORE.ORG Estimated Value: $44,072.00 - $114,587.00 Provided by GoDaddy.com The #1 Domain Name Registrar". Is this true?

lol great name asswhore, it's kind of fun to say
you can't go wrong with wordpress it is user and search engine friendly and popular, so there's a ton of add ons. don't know much about godaddy hosting except when a friend had it and hated it, i believe there are better options out there.
 
Don't put too much value into the appraisal as the site is only as valuable as you make it. If it was worth $100k on the auction block, it would have been snatched up long ago.

Start by deciding what function you want the site to serve for you and then work towards the money. We all want to make money off each site but they each serve a different purpose in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, general rule of thumb is that the domain appraisal services are all bullshit. It's a waste of time paying for them, "content is king", as they say.

While I understand that the appraisal is probably bullshit, I wonder how much money i can make off of advertising revenue?

Can i make more than i have paid for hosting and the domain... 100$?

any advice on which advertising programs i should use?

With a name like asswhore...you definetely could draw in some pr0n revenue...lol. The quickest method to get some cash flowing would probably be to affiliate with a decent adult website that offers the 'ass pounding' niche. Drive traffic to your site through SEO, social sites, utube adverts, torrents, etc. See the CPA section of this forum for more ideas and information on this method.

As far as wordpress is concerned, if you choose to go the route I suggested, it should be more than fine. Also, you need to decide whether or not you will be offering visitors to your site content of your own, promoting an affiliate site, or a little bit of both.

When it comes to g0daddy, I'm not feeling the love. I think these guys are a bunch of fucktards and if I were you I would ditch them. Furthermore, I am not sure of their TOS regarding adult sites so if you do decide to stick with them, you may want to check that out.

Hi Moe,

Congratulations on deciding to get a website up & running! As has been said above, you can't go wrong with Wordpress, and it's a great way to kick off your learning curve, because it will come in so handy for you at all stages of your IM career.

If your strategy is to earn revenue by having people click on ads AND look at ads, you're probably going to want to go with a few different providers. Even start with Adsense for the clicks, and another provider for the impressions. I'm sure others will have good suggestions on who to go with for that.

Lastly, not quite sure what you're asking about which type of ad would get you more hits - it's all about finding good traffic sources, but this will vary according to what you're promoting. If your site is adult, you could find that forums and Youtube will be better sources of traffic than anything else. And if you're just starting, you'll probably want to go with some free traffic sources rather than paying for clicks.

Most of all - keep reading, reading, reading! There's a heap of information here on driving traffic for all kinds of niches.

i looked into godaddys TOS and spoke to a very nice indian on the phone who was more than happy to let me know that "while we do not allow hosting pornographic material, posting links which users can click to download material is acceptable"

to affiliate myself with other social sites and utube adverts and torrents etc.. what would the easiest way be? should i check out some other forums?

im thinking about stealing some softcore pics from other sites and putting them on my page? illegal?
 
@nessa can you suggest some impression providers? and would they provide an html which i can then upload to my wordpress - no problem?
 
Actually, I've never really worked with adult sites before, but hopefully someone else could come up with the best options for CPM earnings in this niche?

Also - just wondering - is it against Google TOS to display Adsense ads on an adult site? If so, what would be Moe's best PPC alternatives?

Stealing someone else's intellectual property, including photography, is definitely illegal. Steal the wrong person's shit and you may really find your ass in a jam...lol. You can obtain content for free by affiliating with adult sites or by doing a little search engine legwork.
 
true. im gonna spend the next few days researching some material and posting things before the big show.

i think i need to submit a sitemap or something to get adsense to give me some ads... is that true?

adult is no easy market. Requires much homework and,,,,, work.
And you say this is your first site,,,,
umm I'm going to guess since you mentioned wordpress and income from ads that you were considering maybe an adult blog or splog = spamblog.

One of the best sources of info is the Blogging Forum at NETPOND.COM
Read it all.
See what their blogs actually look like and what sells and makes money.
Then,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, learn how to drive traffic.

And don't ask them "How much money do you make"?
You want to establish yourself as a serious upcoming webmaster,, not as an idiot.
Some of those guys make $100's a day on a single blog.
So think blackhat and go for 100 blog's.
With the the tricks and tools in this forum,,,, you should blow those guys out of the water.
Because some of them buy and use some some poor quality softwares, and rely on old-fashioned TGP traffic.
I'd say a determined blackhat could do really well.

Nice domain name! Adult marketing is hard as hell. If you thought pushing a blog would be hard, hah!

First thing I would say is if your going to use asswhore, don't push teen content. Most of the people that are going to hit your site from search engines or from links are going to be looking for ass content. You could probably pull off gaping, normal dick in ass, ass dildos and other things like that. Keep the mindset of people who are going to be looking for that.

I agree with Laser on some parts. Going with a spamblog is a good idea. Just make sure your content providers offer morphing content. Having a blog that is fueled by feeds that are all over the place will kill you.

I also found that other adult blogs have huge traffic sources. Find some others in the ass niche to link with and you should notice traffic coming in almost instantly. The last thing I found is that PPC isn?t nearly as good. I had an old tgp a while back that was doing about 5k in traffic a day. Not bad, but it would only get about one or two clicks. On the other hand, one sign up could get you $45.
