Hey guys, I just started my first blog. I picked a fitness/weight loss niche and registered with click bank. My main focus is reviewing products and putting up affiliate links for people to buy. The problem is, I have no idea where to begin with ways of getting traffic. I would highly appreciate the help.

Try reaching out to bloggers in your niche and guest blogging for them. Manual inbound traffic works wonders. :)

HI,I think you need to study products first before tryin to pormote it ,then when done you need to search on the net to get a lot of informations about it and how others do to promote it and what mistake you see in.Also you need to see people apperciations about the products. When all that is done, you must have a good design on you blog ,many articles (good content) about nich without affiliate link in every atricle. The key is in the trust that traffic make about you site. You can also use facebook groups posters(software) to promote products .sorry for my bad english hope you understand.

If you don't know where to start, social media would be a good start. If you're legit with this, don't spam.

fitness / weight loss is very oversaturated. There is lots of competition and you probably wont rank for decent keywords unless you spend lots of $$$ on SEO. So I would go with Social Media (IG / Pinterest / Fb might work well).
Start building social media accounts and spread the word about your blog!

Would starting a facebook ad campaign be a good idea? I've heard some good things about it.

I'm sure most of us have been in your shoes. I started off promoting my first sites on various websites such as Reddit, but then I moved on to doing SEO and using social media (Twitter and Facebook) to get traffic.

The social media seems to the the overwhelming answer on here. I am sure I can learn a lot about the SEO and how to get better ranks on here, but how do you use social media to promote the blog? Like if I use twitter for example what are the most efficient ways to do so especially if no one is following me?

I usually rely on SEO as I'm not the greatest when it comes to social media, although with Twitter, I just follow people in the same industry, add hashtags to my tweets, share content from other Twitter users, and just interact with other users. There was actually an article I shared on one of my Twitter accounts not too long ago that kept getting shared around and eventually ended up being shared on Facebook and a few other sites. It was a nice amount of traffic while it lasted.

But like I said, I'm not too good with social media, so it's probably best to see if someone else has a more refined tactic.

First of all, congratulations in starting your own blog.

You know, in any kind of venture or project, the hardest part is getting started.

Most people who try to make money on the Internet, keep talking about it, they keep thinking about it, but they never get around to doing it.

If you just keep flapping your gums, nothing is going to happen.

So, congratulations on actually taking action and putting together a blog.

Also, congratulations on asking the right questions.

You see, a lot of bloggers out there fail precisely because they think that just because they built a blog, all these people suddenly crawl out of the woodwork and make their money.

    It doesn't work that way.

The old paradigm of "build it and they will come," has been proven to be bankrupt.

Maybe it worked ten years ago, but it definitely doesn't work in 2016.

I applaud you for asking how to generate efficient traffic.

This is crucial because there are so many inefficient ways to generate traffic.

Believe it or not, spending thousands of dollars for untargeted traffic or cheap basement bargain traffic is not going to cut it.

You're better off going to places on Facebook, Twitter, other social media platforms as well as forums and blogs where people are already talking about the specific set of topics your blog is covering.

Next, you participate in engaging with those people.

You basically post content that is not necessarily from your blog to establish some sort of credibility.

Once you get to the point where these individuals consider you an authority, then you can share your own content more frequently.

That's how you play the game.

It's not really a question of having a huge amount of dollars.

It's not a question of having a large starting budget.

All it is having a clear idea as to where your traffic is and how to engage that traffic.

I wish you nothing but the best.

The question is so generic it is almost offensive.

I'd start with googling "how to start/market/monetize a blog" and then come back :p

SEO is the best visitors source ever, but while you wait for your site to get ranked you should start commenting on other blogs, fitness forums, YT videos and social networks.

Social sites are the way to go. Promote like crazy on them and you should see more traffic on your site.
