Just posted my channel’s first video on yt and received about 40 views in the first 24 hours. Is this a solid starting point? I obviously wasn’t expecting too much with having no subs or anything like that so this seems to be within reason. I’ve already got a couple shorts scheduled to post in the next few days but anything else I can do to promote? I’m trying to post one video per week

40 views is actualy really good for a brand new channel man the algoritm is testing your content just keep posting one video a week and dont spam your links anywhere

it can be anywhere between 1 and 10+ million. lol Each time you post something that is good quality, that captures a mood or idea, that people relate too, the dice is in the hand of the gods. Could be anywhere on the scale. Keep trying, as one things for sure, you can't be a good yotuuber regualrly for a decade without doing amazing and getting into the top 1% lol this is what i notice from the channels i've studied and looked at. Its the regular cats that are the muttz nuttz! lol

https://session.wefunkradio.com/show/1300 also i'm just listening to DJ cash money on we funk, your name is simailar! lol @itsakashmoney94

40 views in the first 24 hours is totally reasonable for a brand-new channel with no audience. From my experience, I’d focus less on promoting the first video and more on consistent uploads, strong thumbnails/titles, and improving retention with every video. One quality video a week is a solid schedule. give it a few months before judging the channel.

40 views within a day from a brand new channel is actually quite good. it would be best to stop focusing on those first day views nd work on improving ur videos with good thumbnails, titles nd content to keep the viewerrs engaged.

Starting like that is great. You can share your video links with related groups to increase views and comments. I wish you perseverance and the ability to create many more videos!

Yes, it's a good starting point. Your video got indexed quickly. It will get better with consistent posting of high engaging content.

Great
I started a channel a few days ago too, first comment was "This guy is an idiot", it's the kind of boost we need, keep going
