Hello BHW. A company I got into contact have offered me a chance to become the host of their youtube channel videos.
Kinda like RayWilliamJohnson where there will be fails and stuff and I kinda make puns and try make it funny but proffessional.
It's not like it will be bad quality as I have all the equipment. Green screen, two softbox lights, HD camera (decent it was $400) and a tripod.
Now the channel has ALOT of subscribers. And I mean it would be really big. (I would never link the channel itself)
But they want a re brand and want this as its new ect.

Okay back to me. I want to become popular on youtube Like Shane Dawson, iJustin. But by being myself.
Usually I had to rely on making viral videos to earn a living.
I was wondering would it be a good idea for someone like me to agree to a contract and do this.
It will help me be able to promote my own channel, facebook, twitter and will give me the chance to reach to a massive audience and help me create
a targeted fan base of people who will subscribe to my stuff because they like me.

This is a one in a million chance and should i go for it? Even tho there will be alot of hours put into it and the worry of deadlines ect. Not to mention a lower pay that im used to. Will something like this be worth it in the end?
    The channel has 600,000 subscribers.

    Thanks very much
    -A confused guy.

You clearly know the answer for that. A bigger concern for you is to start making confident decisions. You remind me of one friend who always gives a correct answer and asks if that is the correct answer for sure.

You already know you should do it, are going to do it... why feel the need to ask?

Just check your contract so it doesn't affect your life time earnings on youtube.

I am sorry but I think you are wanting to get PMs from forum members about it and maybe you want to profit somehow from BHW members. I mean seriously, if it is what you want to do, then why dont you do it? It isnt like you are shy, you already have your own channel and you are with fullscreen from what I read in another of your posts, where you say that you want to buy some equipment, and then bam, 4 days later you have this opportunity? I really don´t believe you, not because of it would be some sort of achievement or anything, but it is like if a basketball player would say: Hey, so the Lakers contacted me, they saw one of my matches where I made over 30 points, and they offered me a contract. Should I accept? (Of course that being a YT personality has nothing to do with NBA world but I think you understand my point).

    ^^ you made me check.

    OP, you will fail.
I checked your account and you were right to put the Guru bit in. Most names like that are wannabees, like yourself. :)
In a previous thread you received some very legitimate advise and dismissed it as sarcasm.
You also say you can get 50K views a day easily but still want to buy views and likes...
You bought 5K Twitter accounts plus 5K proxies??! wtf? You are starting out, you wouldn't know what to do with them! I can see you now saying this aint true but your posts suggest otherwise.

Now about your current adventure: You do not start multiple big projects simultaneously.
Also, take the job. You will get fired but it will teach you things.

Meanwhile, you should stop wasting money, read for a week non stop about youtube on this forum and start small. You are like a toddler trying to run a marathon.

If there is a job, TheMasterOfMoney has a valid point...

    Also:

    Not nice, but honest.
    Good luck. :)

You are right bro. I was going to go on it but it was obvious that the guy just wanted attention or maybe some other person who would offer him a smaller contract or opportunity. Or just wanting for PMs asking what he did to get that contract and ask for money in exchange of his "secrets". And btw, he dont even need proxies if he will manage so many Twitter accounts haha, I manage thousands of accounts and the only way to manage them is using scripts that don´t even need proxies because they break the API.

Seriously, stop posting stupid threads. you know you're going to take the opportunity, and 2, there's no guarantee you're gonna be the next ray william johnson. He's a millionaire. I doubt it. But if it's a paying job, get on it.

    Thank you. :)
I am still in debate with myself but leaning towards your view.

I think a script is the only way to manage that many accounts. Just saying "hi" by hand would be a full time job for two. :p
Also, you had me on a search as I didn't understand why your API would break but I didn't find a good reason.
However, I did find out why people get banned. lol
Will continue this search tomorrow. Interesting stuff. :)

Well, it actually don´t use api limits, so in non proper words as mine, it breaks it because it dont follow limits, except the following ones. And yes, a script is the only way. I once managed 500 using TweetAttacks but for xx,xxx I am using scripts, otherwise my computer would freeze and I never came back to TA though it isnt available anymore though, if you have any question, just let me know. :)

    lol@computer freezing.

    That makes perfect sense actually.
I think I got the picture but am still wondering about the IP, probably won't after I study this a bit more but I just might take you up on your offer. :)

    Very educational. :)
