Hey guys I don't know why I'm posting this here was just about to buy followers for something, maybe I'll find like minded people.

I make art and have been a graphic designer for years and have also tried my hand at NFTs, unfortunately without success.
I'm also in a bit of a crisis privately, it's hard for me to earn anything on the side, you can hardly make ends meet and somehow everything goes downhill, I think many people feel the same way.

I don't really know what to do with myself either, I'm isolating myself more and more and building up fears. I'm looking for a way to earn some money online but since Midjourney and Text to Image AI it's getting harder and harder. I've also had good experiences with AI and many people admire me and my pictures but despite everything it doesn't seem possible to make money with it. I have no idea about social media no matter what I try I don't get any followers.
I've tried a lot of things I pay attention to hashtags the right description I don't post too much reply to others but sometimes I think I'm cursed apart from talent.

Maybe you have some ideas. props if you have read everything.

Most people fail, and everyone has failures in the beginning.
Doing mistakes and having failures is a natural step in getting to the point where you earn a side income or full income with your own business.

There are people who earn money as graphic designers, there are people who earn money via AI etc

If they can do it and you can't, that just means they know something that you haven't learned yet.

Stick with one thing. Learn everything there is to learn about it, and then figure out how to monetize it. It seems like you are starting the other way around.

You only fail when you give up.

you're right, but i've learned everything possible, i know pretty much every program by heart and keep trying. the question is how long you should learn and when you have finished learning with over 25 years of experience should i have a breakthrough at some point?

do you have any ideas how i can skip the step of failure? connect with other people and find out how they do it?

One this is having skills, other thing is having people pay you for your skills.
You might have the best graphic designer by far, who does any project 100x faster then any other graphic designer, but if no one knows about them they are not making any money from it.

How are other graphic designers earning money? Do a list, for example:
1) Salary
2) Upwork
3) Fiverr
4) BHW sales thread etc
5) Freelance graphic designer offering services locally
6) Youtube tutorials + affiliate bonuses from all the programs you use

What are they getting paid for? Website design, logo design, specific photoshop projects?

Do some research. See how the biggest earners are marketing themselves, and what kind of graphic design they are doing.
Figure out the ins and outs of the business.

Then either copy the winners or add your own twist to it.

Just keep refining your process. If your current approach isn't working, other people have out-engineered a better solution than you. (currently ;) ) So what if you have drawing talent? As you discovered, you have to have perseverance and marketing skills.

At some point, it may be better to find a normal job to stabilize your life.
Try advertising agencies and look to make a start from the bottom.

Hard work beats both talent and luck. Build a skill, then try to find clients on either linkedin or some freelance platform (like upwork or fiverr). Once you have a few clients, you can find either a remote job or a local one for the same skillset.

Since you have real client testimonials and working experience, you are already ahead of 50% other applicants. The remaining 50? To defeat them, you need to work hard and have exponentially better skills than them ;)

How about your video editing skills, don't just be a graphic designer. Learn to do video editing, you could make videos on Youtube and do some affiliate marketing.
