Well many of my friends and relative and here and it's feel like a global community. Always wanted to shift to dubai and finally the time has come.

It's not that expensive and not much cheap. compare to other top tier countries. Plus it's a business hub. I'm seeing trends people coming here to settle from USA , CA, and EU to built businesses here.

well it's just 4% VAT, nothing else.
Not sure if you are comparing it to Swiss or something, but I felt it was costlier than most of the European countries and many US states. Also, the lack of greenery doesn't make me feel comfortable. Other than that the taxes and all its good.
