windows 8 fucking sucks infected donkeys balls!
this is old news
I've managed to somehow rename the pics, vids and downloads folders all to "documents" - with each one mirroring the next, yet all appearing as separate folders.
yeah I know, but I just assumed everyone saying it wasn't as smart as me.
I love Windows 8, malware and viruses. But owning a B&M computer shop probably alters my perception of what is a good OS and what is a bad OS.
A bit more information about Win8:
What most don't know when they purchase a new Win8 laptop bundled with Norton is when you activate the trial version of Norton it disables the embedded version of MSE included with Win8 and when Norton trial expires you're left with NOTHING protecting you. Uninstall the expired version of Norton and MSE will run again. Of course you should always use and pay for a premium AV but MSE is certainly better than NOTHING.
Did I say we love bundled Norton with most of the new laptops (practically nobody purchases it when the trial expires)? Just awesome!
Vista was worse in my opinion, but then again, I did not have to download plugins/mods to customize Vista to get the Windows start menu back -.-' I so hated that tile stuff, though 8.1 fixed it somewhat nowhere near as good as I hoped.
Windows ME. That was the worst thing made by Microsoft.
After trying windows 8 for a week, I went back to the good old windows 7
I'd post a screenschot of the mess I've made, but I can't find the fucking snipping tool to do it with!!
Win 2000, Win Vista / 7 are the only version(s) of Windows I have liked. At least I seem to remember Vista being the same as 7.
found it - hidden in windows>system32
this is the mess I created when trying to move these folders from c to d drive - they either all mirror each other now or just are the same folder displayed 4 times??
All I've ever known is Vista....pray for my lost soul please.
I feel it for you. I despise Windows 8.
It did become a lot more bearable when I realised I could run it in desktop mode, which I do permanently.
Every time I get the 'upgrade to 8.1' screen I panic in case I accidentally click 'yes'. I have been told that's even worse.
Vista had so many problems, I kept XP Service Pack 3 for a long time. Then jumped straight to Windows 7. Looked at windows 8, realized I could not run half of my software on it, then "downgraded" immediately to Windows 7.
great - that's what I have.
I've never had to set up a new computer unplanned as I am now. I went away on holiday for 2 weeks and it just wouldn't turn on when I returned. The old one's got a stuffed motherboard and won't boot at all. And of course the backup's corrupted. So I'm having to re download everything and transfer all data via a sata HDD to usb connection - with all the associated file permission dramas that operation entails. I so deserve dinner out and a few beers tonight.
I've never understood the hate for windows 8.
I've liked it since day 1. The only thing that annoyed me was not knowing where the shut off was.
It's almost exactly the same as 7, with an updated Start Screen and enhanced touch capability....
Is window 8 exactly the same layout as window server 2012? if yes then it sucks pretty hard lol.
Win 8 is way better than 7, Vista, XP, 2k. Better look, better security, better memory management etc.
i like windows 8
