I cant see how a you tube video lasting 10 mins is going to stop me spraying my site with shit links that are only going to get me punished. I would look to have someone to guide me as I work with the product, this way any bad habits or mistakes can be explained away, something you tube cannot do.
Just how useful are these tools in 2012?

The only software I would consider buying these days is SENuke. They've been around for a while now. They do update the software. People say more good things then bad. The idea (or system) behind what it does makes sense to any seasoned SEO expert. The rest I program myself.....

You definitely want to get your self the rank tracker and seo spyglass, and the seo add on for firefox. All those tools work perfectly for analyzing data. And helps with proposals when you get into charging a monthly fee four your services. Offline clients eat up all this dorky data.
