Congrats! That's awesome. My site hit #2 today which I am excited about.

Another thought is to build an opt in list with the traffic and figure out how to monetize the list.

Hi,

Firstly congratulations!!

what position was your site at prior to #1?

Did you do any recent SEO work that might have cause the jump?

Is the site a .com .net domain or a regional one like .co.uk?

I have a site in my portfolio that sounds very similar 28k searches roughly 3months of SEO and its sat at #2 the CTR has gone through the roof since moving to #2. Hows your CTR at #1 as oppose to #2.

This site also doesn't make anything at all from adsense due to unrelated ads been shown. I get about 300 clicks through to Amazon per month but probably only 4-5 sales.

Congrats on making to that #1 spot BooOooOoOooOOooI

now my keyword is: 4,400
my jump went from page 35 to bottom of page 2 just from good onpage SEO

and now I'm on the very top of page #2 from the recent web2.0's

there are 10 web2 blogs with 800 word unique content + pics and video and i've done some manual commenting on related blogs as well!

So, now what is an effective link building method you're using that has shown improvement?
