Just Had My Paypal Hacked And Drained

File unauthorized transactions and i'd say even call paypal and ask for help.

but you can never be sure, and s.th. that is worse than what the guy did to you, is to get all the sh!t back to a completely wrong guy.
Actually, good hackers convince other people with social engineering to take packages for them as a job. These people don't know that they do shady stuff, until cops get them.
So, the real guy normally stays underground - he then just needs someone else who goes and takes the packages from these co-workers, who don't realize that they take fraud packages from the delivery guy.
Investigate first, and then get revenge!

see the shipping address of the product if you can and see where the money is going or who logged in frm which ip address and if you can just ask amazon who brought it file a case yes dont let the morons take over get them behind bars hahaha kill those jackazzes

Firstly, How did your gmail get hacked? You probably have a trojan or a rootkit on your pc, they can easily bypass the popular scanners. I'd check the traffic between your computer and the internet with a program like tcpview, most likely some shady shit is going on as we speak. And secondly if i recall correctly, its pretty hard to take over a paypal account from a new IP especially if its across the country, paypals geo ip filters should pick it up and block him with security questions......Unless he did all of this from your pc.

Although I have nothing to lose, I keep a VMware Image to work with my Gmail and Paypal accounts.
Gmail and Paypal both uses https and I dont think even if someone captures data, its easy to crack.

Well regardless the delivery was intercepted and I don't doubt that one bit about it being a drop. The fact of the matter is that guy at that address was going to receive stolen property, it is what it is. I have both my bank and paypal investigating the root of the transactions to hopefully find the true criminal but again if they were smart I am sure that will be difficult or impossible. I just hope this was a pure case of the educated dumbass
In the end my money will be back where it belongs.

No I live in a rural area in the Mojave desert region of California. Any house near mine is 5 miles a way and the city is a 30 minute drive at least. Thanks for the laugh though.

paypal has horrible customer service, but they've always came through for me when it really mattered. I've had an account
with them for almost 4 years and whether it was theft or a bad ebay transaction I haven't had anything to complain about.
