Just got scammed on Alibaba.....

Hi,

I used to deal with Alibaba and DHgate, they do have a customer care team, get on the phone to them and tell them what happened and 'm sure you can get your money back - best thing you can do is refund your customers and tell them there is a delay in stock because of peak xmas period and willing to give you 20% discount (loyalty customer retention, trust me it pays in the long run) when you do get the stock.

Hope you'll sort it out.

ps Ms Morry from China, come on mate, didnt you see that coming?

UPDATE: Ms. Morry just mailed me back, and she said she was on leave a few days. And said she told her colleague to fix the packing of the goods. So we'll see what happens next week.

If she was really scamming me, i don't know why she even bothered to answer.

It depends what it is you are buying too, I would trust a guy selling plastic cups a lot more rather than trusting a guy selling computer parts.

Sadly on the Net that's a rarity!

I think i'll just forget about it. It takes to much of my energy to care about it you know. I'm a honest guy and just want to deal with other honest people you know

I too mostly have been scammed on alibaba and I no longer trust the site despite the fact i'm sure there are legit sellers on there...too much risk

Thanx for the info and scammers are everywhere buddy.

If anyone needs any help or advice buying from China send me a pm. I have built up quite a lot of contacts in various sectors over there

Alibaba is not worth much at all. Find a personalized supplier for your business and stay away from those companies.

Cheers,
Unclemike

Alibaba is full of scamers. They are only interested in sellers coming on and buying a gold membership. They don't care about the buyers.

Don't ever use Western Union. Do due diligence on suppliers and if you do large transactions, do Letters of Credit instead.

you actually sent money via western union?

welcome to the internets.. The first thing you should remember to never do is send money via western union.

Damn dude, never trade with an amount you're not willing to risk and never make direct payment. Sorry about the loss. But the best lessons are those that are learned the hard way.

Hope your goods came through. You need to assess the business risk and if the math adds up in your head, dive in head first and don't look back. Sometimes, you'll end up on the other side. Other times, flat on your stomach. Just be sure you can keep your head above water and oh, away from the sharks.
