Just got my Window2008 VPS and confused

Hi mate,

can you please help me of this VPS I just got from damnvps. Seems to be very cheap. So I decide to host them with some software tools so I can use it.

What software do you use to connect window VPS ? I've tried Window's Remote Desktop Connection but couldnt get it.
At last I tried with TightVNC and got it.

Then I try to have my software upload or use the VPS to download..
The VPS seems to have no internet connection ?! And I have no idea how to upload my software tools up there. Please helpppp..

Any helps would be very very much appreciated

You should be able to connect through Window's Remote Desktop Connection. Make sure you are putting in the IP address from the DamnVPS screen right after you log in. I am online right now. I think if it didn't have internet access, you wouldn't be connected to it. Do you see Internet Explorer listed in the start menu? Right click, make a new text file, name it test.html and then save it. Double click that file and see if an internet explorer window opens up.
 
Drop me IP of your server to my PM and I will check it for you.

a) don't send me passwords :P
b) don't post your IP in public here
 
You must have internet connection otherwise you couldn't connect to it. the best way to connect is Remote Desktop Connection, just reinsert the login info carefully. IE must have some protection activated(same happened to me), use firefox.

I've tried. It just doesnt allow me to connect into it

and I was using the VNC to connect into it. There's a internet explorer on the start menu . I tried to launch is and typed in google.com then it says webpage offline , so i can either click 'connect or stay offline'
 
Submit a support ticket then. That is your best option. We really cant trouble shoot it without going into your vps. It could be a number of issues that we could sit here all day guessing at.

yes, indeed i have internet connection.
But it seems to the server has no internet connection. it only connect to LAN ..i guess

Contact your DC asking whats the story.

i gotta wait until they are at work

Do you guys use only RDP to connect and dop files there?
