Just got f*cked

So you mailed a laptop to a non verified address without tracking? what the hell you doing?. It's no wonder you the guy saw the chance to screw you over.

You should have overnighted an empty box to him with tracking the second he opened the dispute, and used that tracking number to give to paypal. That may have saved you, but honestly, as you now know, you should ALWAYS get tracking and only ship to confirmed addresses.

So here is the story, about month ago I've sold a laptop on eBay for 360 dollars, the guy messaged me and give me a different address to ship the laptop and I did. Today PayPal reversed the 360 dollars back to the person saying someone was using his credit card and that person did not authorized the purchase. To make things worse I do not have an tracking number so Paypal can't do anything about it. So just a laptop and didn't even get paid for it, my PayPal account is negative 345.

Hi mate, ring your bank and cancel the direct debit then they legally can't take the money

I feel you mate, happened to my friend who sent his laptop to africa

no paypal cant touch your funds in your account unless you autherize them to do so. dude take this as a lesson learned and dont send $360.00 items with out tracking numbers and remember anything sold over $250.00 must require tracking number with signature confirmation

I thought that by linking your bank account to paypal, that was authorization to use the bank account for funding. I never authorized paypal to use my bank account, just added it, and they attempted to pull money from my account for this same situation.

But he is right about the tracking. To qualify for eBay seller protection i believe you have to at least get signature confirmation, which should come with tracking. I always insure these items too, occasionally USPS will offer compensation when you are a victim of mail fraud, but not sure if this falls into that category or not

well that's to bad to know..
but it's a precious experience
move on, forget it, don't make the same mistake

Damn bro, always get a tracking number even if you're not going to give it to the buyer. Paypal is just messed up, controlling every damn thing.

when the call you they will ask you if they can take the money from your bank and that you have to pay, they will try to do it anyway, and they will succed in it, you will get negatvie and chargeback
