Just got Bookmarking Demon

I am wondering if its worth using shared proxies from places like Proxy Bonanza or going the private proxy route. Bd seems to exhaust your own ip quite quickly also public proxies do not seem to work with. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Scrape proxies with SB. Problem solved.

I originally started by using public proxys when I first started using BMD but later went with 30 odd shared proxy's from proxybonanza and far greater success with less deleted accounts. So shared proxys seem adequate for me doing a couple of blasts a week!

I think the public proxys from scrapebox will get your accounts banned eventually but a cheap alternative to a proxy service.

try not to use the bmd proxy checker, its single threaded. mines been scrolling through proxies for 3 days now. proxies that sb says are secure are rejected by bmd - not sure why. anyway, bmd proxy checker will make you age.

Also for some reason when I use scrape box proxies in the BDM proxy check its says stable go to use it to bookmark and it comes up unstable sorry in advance I am new to bdm

I am also thinking of buying it. Anyone has used it for quite some time - have you seen good results?

Free proxys are too much instable,the best option is Proxy bonanza.

Private proxys are too expensive it is best to try shared proxys first.

I use private proxies from your private proxy and have no problems w/ bmd.

you say you use private proxy is it from privateproxysoftware this service has a seven day free trial that I'm trying out but no one seems to no how to set it up with BMD.

The BMD manual says this is the set up, usernameassword-ipaddressort but what IPaddress do you use? my own or the one that the service provides, and what port do you use?

I read a review online and the guy says he uses this service with BMD and recommends it, the price is right.

The proxy service provider says I don't have to enter anything into BMD, it should piggy back on the software and work because it is shielding my IP. But BMD show my IP, not the one they are providing. So that makes me think the the info has to be entered as per the BMD manual.

Me too. I tried the SB proxies and get problems. You will get banned from some sites, still haven't nailed the exact "why" down yet. I have been on BMD for a month now and love it. I have over 50 accounts made, but going for at least 100. It's great for indexing, but haven't seen a bunch of traffic yet, only sparingly.
I am hoping that when I get the accounts created, traffic should increase a bit, or at least that's what I read somewhere here on BHW.

Any advice from BMD owners would be GREAT!

I've had BMD for a few months now. I only have a few accounts set up, but everything I can find to read on it suggests mulitple accounts on each site. And to run private proxies. The more accounts you have the more proxies you need, (stay away from public proxies). A 100 accounts for each site would certainly create a social buzz. Something else to consider is camoflaging with Rss feeds, I set up some Google alerts today to get the feeds form them. I figure it's a good way to get current stuff to bookmark and hide my own links in.
I'm green as grass when it comes to proxies though and so I'm taking my time trying to find the best one for BMD.

Well I?m certainly no expert with BMD, but I have spent a considerable amount of time talking with Jenny from support. And in doing so I have found out a few things.
First there are videos and a couple of manuals, read them. They are a little vague but you get the idea of how to use the software.
Second, get yourself some Proxies before you do anything (anything aggressive that is). If you are only going to use it for a few backlinks then I wouldn?t worry about it. But, I believe from things I?ve read here and there, that the way to use this software is Aggressively. That means lots of accounts, as many as you can make. That also means lots of email accounts have to be made. If you have a cPanel creating the email accounts is pretty easy.
Third, you don?t want your accounts getting banned, so camouflage your links with RSS feeds and use proxies. The more accounts you create the more proxies you will need. I don?t know how many. This is just a guess but if you create 50 accounts I think you should have a least 10 proxies. Now I could be completely wrong, but BMD support said the more accounts you have the more proxies you will need. I am experimenting. I bought 10 private proxies. One of my projects has 12 accounts so far, but I plan on creating at least 50, maybe 100 for that project.
Camouflage; in the one manual they give you some RSS feeds to add for camouflaging your links. Here is a little tip for you, create some Google Alerts around popular stuff people like, such as news, sports, people, entertainment etc. then take the feeds and use those to help camouflage your links. With Google alerts you are always getting fresh stuff to bookmark.
Here is a good site to get proxies that are easy to set up. anonymous-proxies[dot]net they are reasonably priced and simple to set up and use. Just follow the instructions in the manual.
Your Bookmarks; follow what the manual says and spin your titles, and write a good lengthy description and spin them also. I have noticed that some sites want a description of at least 400 characters.
While talking to support, they say the regularly get an 80% to 90% success rate with their submissions. At best I have had 63%, but that is before I started digging into this and using proxies. I think I have had a few accounts banned because of my ignorance. When I started using BMD I was getting just a 30% success rate, but since then I have been able to get it to 55% to 60%. But what I?ve learned in the last few days I hope to get that even higher.

I have just ran my first BM project after getting the proxies set up and creating a good description, etc. I achieved an 80% success rate on this submission. It's by far the best successful submission rate I've had.

correction, keep your descriptions under 200 characters, only a couple site want them to be 400

Just get a couple of proxies to start with. I've got shared ones from proxybonanza that do the trick for the moment.

Another point is to NEVER use bookmark demon to bookmark your "money" site. It's meant to be used aggressively and you don't want to risk your main site being banned. Use it to link to pages that link to your site. Build them if there aren't any.

I have been using BMD for both WH and BH for about 4 months. IT works very good. I have been using Proxy Bonanza for about the same amount of time. I'm using the Lite package $5.99 per month but I am upgrading to the Standard at $14.99.
