I have been using Mangeflittler to follow/unfollow. Currently I have over 1,000 followers while following only 190 and it says I can't follow any more at this time. I did unfollow 700+ this morning but I thought that is within the limits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just got blocked on Twitter.

Did manageflitter told you "you can't follow anymore" or twitter did?

How many people are you following? If you have 2k following and 1k followers then yeah twitter will stop you till you get 2k followers, then after that the limit is lifted off and you can follow as many as you want.
There is no limit on unfollowing

Oh man they do that all the time! It's called aggressive use of twitter or something like that try to send them an email and tell them you didn't know twitter is very forgiving

I can say with some certainty that the unfollow got you. twitter has become SERIOUSLY strict with 'follower churn' (their term for our typical method of following, unfollowing those who don't follow back and then following more).
Unfollowing more than 100 in a day, unfollowing ONLY people who don't follow you and unfollowing ANY number of people on a regular basis will get you suspended.

He is correct, if this is your first suspension you can appeal it, claim innocence/ignorance. Appeal it with something simple like : My account is suspended, would like to find out why. (they will never tell you why) Then an automated email will be generated saying "We see you're appealing your suspension" and sent to the email on file for your twitter account.
Reply to that email politely and include phrases like "I've reviewed the twitter rules and will make sure I fully comply in the future."
In 24-48 hours you'll get unsuspended.

Don't believe anyone that tells you 'This is the limit' -- twitter doesn't have a # limit, it has an algorithm based on account age, activity, number of followers, historical behavior, and specific unfollow / follow behavior (you can unfollow slightly more people if you're unfollowing people who DO follow you and not just the ones who do not follow you back). This will always be trial and error (I have a batch of 10 accounts that I use very aggressively to find out what the limits are like, then I use the hard lessons I learn with those accounts on the other accounts that I own) but if an account is important to you, GO SLOWLY and be prepared to get suspended, then appeal the suspension and you will likely be fine.
Age is the only factor that matters with twitter accounts. I tested this recently by getting a 2.5 year old account with 0 activity, and following 1k per day right from the start. No suspensions, no issues whatsoever. If I feel like unfollowing 2k? No problems either.
Don't waste your time with fresh accounts if you are trying to build an authority twitter account through following, spend ~$5-10 on an aged account and save yourself time and frustration.

I would say always stick to your 100 mark for most networking sites. Twitter can do more, but just slowly follow and unfollow.

Just go the suspension page and click the stuff presented to you. Answer the email they send and tell them you did read the rules and will be sure to follow them from now on.
I've just recently started messing around with Twitter and seeing what I can get away with. In the last 3-4 weeks I have a few accounts that I've gotten suspended 3x and one that I got suspended 4x, all were restored each time within a couple hours by following their instructions.
I've been recording what I do with these accounts and their age as I go, so each suspension is actually a valuable data point. Use this information and a little restraint and you can grow these things pretty quick.
