Just Got Attacked By A Whitetale Deer

I was coming back from my neighbors house which there is a 100 yard trail through the woods from my back yard which I travel.It is deer season right now and I am a avid hunter and whitetail bucks are in rut right now.So coming back from my neighbors about half way through the trail I heard something running towards me.At first,I thought it was my black lab.Next thing I know I see a lighter figure just ram me right in the chest and knocked my back into a tree.Then I hear my black lab barking and attacking the deer that was attacking me.The whitetale buck hit me again in the chest and I grabbed its antlers and took it down while my black lab was at its throat.I finally got my legs around its shoulders sitting on its back and broke its kneck.My black lab ripped a hole in its throat.It was a 10 point buck which is lying in my back yard right now.I have to go out here and gut it out in a bit and my morning will be a sore one,but I have to process the deer and put him in my freezer.Good thing i'm fast at cutting up deer.I am going to be a wreck in the morning.My black lab is just fine no harm and I have minor brusing.

Damn, I'm glad you are ok. Good thing you didn't get pierced by those antlers!
 
Thax.....White tail deer hold there heads down low when they attack.But I got alot of its feet hitting me.

It was insane and happened real fast....Good thing i'm strong as a ox.Bear attacks are way worse and usually result in death.
 
Ha when I read the title my first thought was, "Cool.. did you eat it?" and I see that you soon will. :D Good you're not hurt though.
 
Maybe he thought you were a carrot :)
 
LOL Wiz......Maybe he did....lol...Yeah....i'm going out right now to gut it out and hang it up so it can bleed out.
 
Wow. That is nuts. I live pretty far out of civilization in the woods and see a lot of deer. Last winter, I was driving back to my house from somewhere and a relatively large buck was standing in the road; not an uncommon occurrence. So I hit the brakes, stopped about 5 yards in front of the deer... and it charged my truck, sort of bounced off the front bumper/grill, fell, looked at "me" (at least it seemed like it), snorted, and walked away. Very surreal. I can't even imagine being in your shoes.
 
I saw that vid of a hunter being charged and clobbered by a deer but never heard of one running up to a person in the woods. My sister gets deer attacking her a couple time a year but she's always in her car :D
The last time one ran into the side of her car and smashed the drivers window

Put yourself in the hooves of a deer for a minute. If your being hunted on
a daily basis by hunters that seem to enjoy the brutality of killing an animal,
then you would probably react the same way. Nothing personal.
 
Well,just got him gutted and hanging up.I even took out one of the tendor loins which i'm going to cook up some of in a bit.Still warm too....Real good eating to get it that fresh.About 8 years ago at my hunting cabin during whitetale bow season I got attacked by a mountain lion that was up in my tree stand with a roof on it about 30 foot up.I fell out of the tree and clawed on my shoulder and I stabbed the mountain lionin the kneck with my carbin fiber arrow.He ran off,but my uncle saw him a week later with the arrow still hanging out of his kneck.He was never seen again after that.A cat will fuck you up...Being a house cat or huge cat.

there out thick in our area as well i almost hit one the other day ^_~
