Just Got Approved by Demand Studios

I write for them too. I'm actually gonna get paid in like 2 hours lol. I

I wasn't making anything with CPA ads, adsense or anything. So I got fed up. So I applied for Demand.

Is anyone aware of any more platforms like this?

Most of the well known sites pay through revenue sharing, but I found one that is similar to Demand Studios.

Break Studios is similar to Demand but they pay a little less.
Breakstudios.break*com.

I've never written for them, though. Hope this helps. ;)

I applied for demand back in early September and got invited on the first shot. Didn't put too much time into it, but was making an extra 195 a week putting in like 6 hours work so the payoff was nice. Finally ran out of articles in my niche in mid November and been debating going back and working on different topics and then just rewriting articles.

Twice a week payment is iffy. Most times I got paid once a week though occasionally I'd get a Tuesday payment here and there. Wasn't sure if there was an issue on their end or if it was just a weird circumstance of when I wrote, got approved and then processed for payment.

wow thats really nice to know. I also want to earn at Demond studios but not sure how to write quality article that will impress them. i am not yet geeting the guts to write resume ad sample article and submit for application.

I spent most of my time doing E-How articles for them. I didn't concentrate so much on impressing the editors as I did focusing on making sure the content was something the reader could follow. If you concentrate at first on writing what you know you should be fine. Take a look at the guidelines and listen to the editors if you get a rewrite and it's easy money. By the end of my 2nd month I was making about $600 a month for writing 5 articles a day on Saturday and Sunday.

Really want to do 100 or so revenue sharing articles but want to do a lot of research on some good keywords to generate page views so trying to gear myself up for that.

Just applied last night with both break studios and demand studios. I applied before with demand studios and was rejected. I'm thinking about just reapplying every time I get rejected until I get accepted. So far it has been very difficult getting accepted but I will keep my fingers crossed. With that many articles made available to writers, I wonder how many writers they actually have.

The question is what are you doing to get rejected. I got rejected once.
The second time I just submitted the SAME information but added a link to one of my articles on another content site (I think it was either an article on Associated Content or Examiner, I cannot remember which) and got accepted.

If you write anywhere online (content site, blog, etc.) make sure you give DS a link to it. This way they can see they aren't getting a Newbie internet writer. While it may not guarantee your acceptance into DS, it will not hurt it.

Just to add to this, be sure that your sample is your best work. Don't expect to send in a sample that you threw together in ten minutes. If you do then you will more than likely get rejected. Make the best of the opportunity.

Sad to say I was rejected. I will try again next month; I can think of a few reasons why I may have been rejected although I did send my best work. I think the content could have been a little provocative and it clearly states to supply a link to a published work that identifies you (I have never published anything under my real name). So I will try again next month on a niche that I specialize in even though I don't enjoy writing for it. I could not imagine what advertiser would want a spot on the article I submitted even though it was my best work.

Submitted to textbroker the same day and got accepted. Applied to breakstudios with the same article today and I'll see what happens.

Here is my latest rejection from DS.

Thank you for submitting your writer application to Demand Media. After careful review of your resume and writing sample, we are unable to offer you writing assignments at this time.

Due to the increased interest in freelancing positions at Demand Media, the approval process has become quite competitive, and we have had to turn down many high-quality applicants.

We sincerely thank you for your interest.

Best regards,

The Demand Media Team

Sounds like they have quite a large influx of writers applying. They are turning down high-quality applicants. I spent time writing up a resume, uploading my best sample and giving them direct links to all my accounts. Ezine, Associated Content, Hubpages and even my own blogs are submitted to them for review.

I'm still waiting for a response in regards with my application with breakstudios.

I just got my blog approved, so if you have a nice whitehat blog like I do, check out their syndication for bloggers!

I plan on applying for the writer position after a couple of weeks as a blogger, to see if that increases my chances.

Demand Studio may be seeing problems soon

http://business2press.com/2011/01/22/google-gets-serious-on-spammers-content-farms/

Demand Media, which owns popular web properties like cracked.com and ehow.com, publishes about 4,000 articles on a daily basis (part automation and part human editorial) and has received $375-million in total funding, according to the company database website CrunchBase. It is also one of the top 30 most popular websites in the United States, according to the Internet analytics firm comScore.

The problem is that this content is usually very doubtful, of low quality, and highly unreliable, and its only purpose is to get readers to click on affiliate or other CPC advertisements.

Not sure if i can post this in here so mod please delete my post if i'm breaking any guidelines.

Hey guys, I'm looking for TOP NOTCH writers (preferably someone who has or currently is writing for reputable Publishing Agencies like Demand, Break, or AC) and someone who's looking to make some extra cash.

Willing to pay $15 per article (400-500 words) or press release. (Topics may vary)
Will like to contract 100 articles per month. (Maybe more in the future)

Please PM me (provide some proof of your work with a reputable publishing agency)

Thanks

Ps. I'm aware of all the great article writing services on bhw. I'm looking for something more.

Wow, thanks for this thread. I applied to both Demand Studios and Break Studios. I plan on using these to fund my internet endeavors, should I be accepted, God wiling.

Congrads! Happy earning!

I have an account with them also (though I don't use the account at all). Was rejected the first time but the second time I just linked to one of my articles on another content site and sent in the same sample article I had used before. My account was approved the next day.

Too bad I can't apply 'coz I live in India, and they don't take writers from my country (or even the continent).

Would you be willing to sell your DS account to me? :o

You are very funny:p but no:cool:. My SSN is attached to my account just in case I decide later to write for DS.
