Hello! Three days ago I started my first niche IG.

Today I have 526 followers!

Unfortunately I've been banned from following - don't know how long that's going to last but it's going on two days. Going to have to undo this follow spree I went on with my fingers... :eek::(

Haven't made any sales yet - that's okay because I'm still very small obviously.

I have high quality original content in my niche and I'm going to try and focus on keeping it to a standard. I can still like posts, so I'm doing that a lot, but keeping my likes focused on other high quality content that doesn't appear to be regurgitated. I'm going to try and pay for some shoutouts, also maybe some advertising with top names off google search.

I think once I can get a few sales, I can really get the ball rolling.

Give it a few days and then see if you can follow again.
 
Be very selective when it comes to buying shoutouts. So many pages that will not give you value for your money. Also yeah, should take a few days before you can start following again.

Good luck on your journey, I started mine 1,5 months ago and I've loved every bit of it.

One was offering a 3 hour feature for 40 dollars, and $125 for 24 hours. They have 334k followers. How does this measure up?
 
Look at their engagement and decide for yourself if you think it's worth it. The page having good engagement is crucial, those followers could all be fake for all we know. Good engagement = people actually open & like the picture thus seeing your profile mentioned. It means the followers like what the page is posting, thus they will automatically be more inclined to pay a visit to your page.
 
I started also 1.5 month ago and i am really doing good. just don't follow untill you get banned as it will slow you down :) as for the shoutouts i have never tried them lol but will do in the future, Good luck :)

How good is really good?

Yea that was a mistake, oh well I'm still learning haha.

Just bought my first shoutout, we will see how it goes. Their IG has pretty good engagement and 330k followers.
 
500 followers in 3 days means you probably followed 2k in your first 3 days for follow/unfollow. Way too many.
 
Well here's an update at 9 days in:

575 followers on the instagram
  • going to have to start finding a source for content

1 total sale
  • offered a little insight about the products
  • was likely a result of an ad coupon/IG feature that was paid for
  • not an awesome ROI for that ad, not even in followship - so I've learned my lesson about paying for features

The ban on following has been lifted, so that's good...

Next steps?
1. Research more on who is best to follow/which posts to like

  • Big traffic drivers in the niche or small personal accounts that are more likely to make conversions?
  • Which accounts/pictures will posted likes be more effective on?
  • Continue to grow the IG
2. Revise, and improve designs in the store

  • This too will require some more research on what's out there and what is (not) selling
3. Look at other routes of advertising outside of IG
 
If your account is small shoutouts will be less effective, collaborate with other smaller accounts instead.
 
How about create many account and use bot to follow with delay.
 
I would prefer to not to do anything that risks account removal at this point
