Okay so im just getting started with the SEO side of my website, I have some questions i need answering, some are more nooby than others...

    1. What tools are the best to use to get my site popular? (i already have Scrapebox)... is anything else essential? does scrapebox actaully help you get keywords ranked?

    2. considering my site is new, what should i do first with scrapebox? and what do i do next?

    3. (this questions more about keywords and adwords..)
i have been using adwords to get a good set of keywords with High global monthly searchs, but low competition.. however when i manually type that keyword/phrase into google.. it returns with 38,800,000 results.. so im thinking how is that LOW competition, another keyword/phrase which is apparently low competition has around 60M results! am i doing this wrong? reading something wrong??

it would be great if someone could shed some light on any of the questions i have asked!

    Thanks

    Seany

Make sure you are using exact match option when using google keyword tool, also the competition thing you are looking at does not mean it is a low competition easy to rank for keyword.

All that shows is that there is little 'Adwords PPC competition' Not that the keyword is easy to rank for!!

You need to use other tools to check if the 'Exact Match Keyword' is easy to rank for such as traffic travis or market samurai.

Also just use your common sense by looking at few of the top ranking websites for the keyword, check their authority, backlinks, pagerank, domain age etc.

Try to also purchase an 'Exact Match Domain Name' if you can also, basically a domain name that exactly same as your keyword.

THEN DO ARTICLES 3% - 5% KEYWORD CONTENT, 4-5 ARTICLES, DO OTHER SEO, H1,H2,H3, ALT TEXT..... FOR FUCKS SAKE JUST USE THE SEARCH BUTTON AND FIND THE REST  :pirate:

Hmm, my problem with that is, that my site doesn't actually have that type of content... its a TV link website where people can watch. so i doesn't really have proper content, just loads of lists, etc

im guessing its gonna be a bit of a problem, maybe i could incorporate a blog or something...hmm

you should combine your links in some sort of pages with content, every tv channel should have it's own page with description like an article based on your keyword. Good luck!

The simple answer to this thread is:

Don't start threads asking for handouts

    Read, Read, Read

    Use The Search Box

Apply, Apply, Apply what you have done in the above steps.

The Good News is your membership here and the search button are the keys to the kingdom.

The not so Good news is information overload. Don't let that stop you though! :pirate:

Its easy to say 'use the search' and whatever, but that's not helpful at all to a complete noob. A lot of stuff is outdated, and there is so much to search through it would take months to read...

For the most part you should have a direction on where you are going to start, niche sites, commerce etc etc and then narrow it down from there. I agree there are some outdated methods etc but if every noob started a thread asking for handouts this forum would be a waste. IM is not for the weak. It takes hard work and dedication and people thin that they can become overnight millionaires with a single SB Blast or that they will rank #1 with a single xrumer blast. It's important to educate yourself on the things you are serious about. I was not trying to be rude. We are all noobs at one point, Hell I am not an all knowing expert but I will never stop learning and that what will set me apart from the rest.

im not looking for any quick bucks etc, i was just interested in what people thought was the essential tools to get, as i said i currently has SB, but im currently thinking it wont help too much with the keyword ranking... so maybe getting something like SEnukeX would be a must!

Also as i said because my website isnt content rich, i was wondering if them tactics would even work on my site...

thanks for all the replies ill try and do a little digging myself and see what i can find!

Just start using Google. Get into the minds of people who would want to search for some tv show, try to imagine what keyword they would use to search for such a site. Then make sure that you have those keywords on your site. This is just the beginning really. Use some keyword research tools for some help regarding your keyword research. There are many sites which can help you with your site. Good Luck
