Just found negative SEO but no manual action yet

I should have been paying closer attention to my links.

Noticed one of my money sites has been getting hit with shit links and the dip I've been seeing lines up with the dates these shit links have been created and index in GSC.

So far there has been no manual action, but I'm wondering if I can attribute this to the loss in rank I've been seeing.

unless your site is brand new or has no authority these shit links won't hurt you in the long run, ther has been algo updates a few weeks ago and that might be the reason for your loss of rank, however I can't say if that is the case or weaather it is due to the links, since I dont know about your site or when the links were created.

I don't think that some spam backlinks will down your rank, it is not applicable
May be because of the last Google update thet re-rate the old backlinks
That is how it works in general

Have had two sites where someone tried to neg SEO me, didn't work either time.

The first time I didn't even realize It was happening. Links were up for like 10 months before I noticed. Rankings stayed strong the entire time.

Some asshole just did negative seo to me with 3k spammy backlinks and copied my home page to 1k sites. Once I fixed it went back to normal. So there is hope!
