Just another SEO rookie

Hello,
my name is Phil and I'm here to improve my SEO skills a little. I'm a web developer specialised in PHP (when the project have to be done fast), C++(when the Project have to be fast) and certain databases as well as in crypto-currencies. Beside my programming work, sometimes I get questions how to promote a project (last time is was something from the pharma niche). In the past few years it was possible to use the own brain but now it comes and more to a financial matter. Maybe its still possible at these days to get fair ranks with brain-work again which I would like to learn here.
