the inspiration behind it was the movie Lemony Snicket's ... i was playing CS at that time and after seeing that movie i started using the nickname Lemony ... after a while moved on to Lemonix and then the FTW (for the win) fad started and i went with LemonixFTW ... eventually it became LMXFTW and i've been wearing it eversince

I received my first modem

when I was 13 (1983) and have been on line ever since.

Now I am not trying to be mysterious but nobody will be able to trace me online prior to 2004.
(Actually there is a text file containing info on me dated around 1985 @ http://textfiles.com/ which is from an old Bulletin Board I used to frequent but it would be hard for anybody to connect that information about the OLD me to the NEW me)

The reason I use my postcode as my user-name is that I have purposefully made myself easy to be found.
(or at least certain aspects of my life).

The reason behind this, is that if certain people or organisations wish to delve into your life and you can't be found then they find it strange and think you have something to hide, so they make it their mission to put you under the microscope.

Alternatively, if you are easy to be found and they can see what you are up to (at least what you allow them to see) then they will give you a cursory glance then move on to another target.

Now should those people see this and question me then all I have to say is that this post is an act of bravado. (Plausible deniability)
They won't know either way because the only information out there about me is the information I have allowed to be out there.

Some people reading this might think that I am a paranoid conspiracy theory nut and I am.

Big Brother IS out there and HE is watching.

To stay under the radar you need SOME information out there and you need to make sure that it corresponds with your expected lifestyle and with what these people expect to see.

Remember, only let out enough information to appear normal and only release the information that YOU want out there.

You may think you have certain rights to protect you from intrusion by these organisations.
Well sorry to break it to you but you are wrong.
We no longer have any rights but the myth is perpetuated to ensure obedience.



I could go on but I have run out of my medication and have started to get the shakes.

As for the OP, duffers5000 has to do with his surname, as per my knowledge. My username is simple enough. My pet name is Gogol and mostly, people know me by that name. Hence the username. What about you ? :/
