I'm new here on BHW. I've been reading all the threads and enjoying every minute of it. But i wanted to get in on the conversation and with something on my mind i posted this.
There are lots of people on here from all kinds of background's with all kinds of skills, people that are experts, others at are enthusiasts and some that are just nosy.
I came to this forum because I'm an enthusiast that whats to become an expert, and start making some money from the internet. But do I really have to take months even years to learn SEO, content writing, web design and social media marketing (and that's just to start).
So here's my idea ! Why doesn't somebody start a CO-OP where everybody does what their best at and all the members reap the reward. (I'm not doing a pitch here it just seems to be logical)

Not enough profit to split it so many ways and who gets what percentage of the share? just because it's equal work doesn't matter. which ones brings in the most profit? a lot of factors.

I'm from Rochdale in the UK the home of the CO-op. I'm not 100% sure how it works but something like this, each member buys a share that then allows them to work within the co-op and be paid for the time or service that they provide and at the end of the year each member gets an equal share. I know it would be fairly hard to work out all the details but there seems to be a lot of people here with great talent and others with great ideas.

That's pretty much what this is.

    Except it's for profit.

    So, you pay people.

If you wanna live in a commune, go ditch your wordly belongings and move to wine country.

    This is BHW.

    We're entrepreneurs.

In all seriousness, groups like that never work out. You have to be a jack-of-all-trades to be successfull at IM, in my opinion.

I have had this idea for a while but cannot get anyone interested.

Have a membership site for $100 a month. Each member who joins at the end of the project will have the website of their choice built and online. Each member has to work on other members websites in order to get theirs built, and the person who works the most on the cycle gets theirs built next.

Each member would have to choose a field to work (and learn in), so that you end up with a pool of people who have assignments to perform in order to build each website.

I have the whole thing laid out, with a HUGE (aside from the membership dues) moneymaking twist I am not sharing.

Suppose you wanted a authority niche site, or a n e-commerce site. You join and your site is put into the pot. When it comes up, it gets built. In order for it to be considered, you have to perform tasks assigned in the field you chose to work in. Each week, the person with the most work done last week and 2 other members sites (chosen randomly) are started. Everyone gets an assignment, and the site gets built by the design and coders, then the SEO folks take over and start promoting. No on gets their site free and clear until everyone's is built.

Those who drop out, wether their site is finished or not, lose their site, these sites are kept and used in subsequent passes as testbeds. People would go thru the course over abd over to build more sites and learn from real world experience how to do what they are interested, or the whole process.

Imagine 100 dedicated people ready to do their assignment at your disposal, and everyone ends up with exactly the site they want each cycle.

And paying $100 a month for the privilege.

!00 people a month, easily scalable to 1000 people in the pool after proving the concept.

Too broke to implement, don't know who to trust. Plan on pulling it together someday.

It will never work out here. And it's something that not all of BHW members will agree.

There 's a reason why startups have at most 4 founders (usually 2). After that, it 's too easy for things to fall apart and they do.

Assuming the dog can do things you can't for the company, yes.

it is called communism and as you know it works only on paper not in practice. so your idea would fail for exactly the same reasons why communism failed.

I do not think you are correctly evaluating the appeal of this type of membership to newbies in IM. People join memberships everyday that cost much more and offer little more than a few tutorials, hope and promises.

Its not communism, geez. Each member gets their online business up and running at the end.

Sounds like socialism to me. I thought I left that when I left the UK? I've only been on BHW for a short time but I'd assume everyone here is a businessman?
